Hi, Mellophone here. They were our brigade/dance team and they were supposed to be statues that come to life in second movement and die in 3rd when cut. The white boxes were also to help the soloist in 2nd movement to get on the spool lmao. Hope that explains it. :)))
as a Katy band member and the Executive Secretary of UIL Music Area I, Joe WIlliams, is my dad's high school band director (Elsik High School) and goes to my church I know that we tied and in fact the way that the tie is broken is "Judges Preference" and James. E Taylor (the school I'm zoned to and where all of my junior high friends go) won the judges preference 3-2 and one of the visual judges gave them 7 more points than us, so yes it really was that close
Hi Daniel, can you tell me who did the arrangement on the Billy Eilish piece that y'all played in this show?
Thanks!
Jeffrey Tipps is the person who wrote the show
Can anyone in the Katy band please tell me wtf was the point of the people on the boxes in the white gowns bcs to me they seem pointless

hey Kate
@@ArsonnFrog I didn’t know you could just have your drill team in your show
@@ArsonnFrog also they we’re definitely moving and dancing so they weren’t statues
@@Alexa-el5vl they were statues that came to life
Sounds like 6th place
More like 5.5th because that's basically what we got 💀💀💀
