i just check my 96 enticer11 and its at 120psi on the two piston and i have a 2000 venture 600 tripple and it gives me 120psi on the three piston so it must be good for a while
Yeah it was on the low side. I sold some of my snowmobiles as I want to spend more time riding and less time maintaining them. Seems like the reverse has been true in my case.
Nah man. That thing needs a rebuild. Rings may do the trick. But you should also check compression when its warm so parts are expanding in the cylinders. Should be at least over 110. 120+ is optimal. Also doesn't matter much if you hold the throttle down or not. Really makes no difference.

Do you pull compression test on a warm cylinder?
As piston warms and expands to fill the bore.
His a sx viper 700 the same even if my head his black? Because i wante to no what his the original compresiion on those motor!
Sir, I would check a manual for SX viper 700. This snowmobile is older and has different compression. 120 psi is considered best.
That engine is in need of a top end

Good thing I got it sold a few weeks after the video was made. No more worries.
