I love the Arrowverse, it's amazing. The Arrow, Flash, Legends... they're all great in their own way, but I have to admit, I almost didn't even bother with Supergirl, it was a bit hard to get into initially, however, I'm happy that I persevered, as it DEFINITELY got better as the seasons have gone by, with some truly epic moments. Finishing off season 3 with great potential, I can't wait for season 4 now. Well done, Kara, you've come a long way.

The thing is Kara is like 3 different people. Her human counterpart is Kara Danvers, her alien counterpart is Supergirl, and Kara Zor-El is sort of like a mix of the two but she also is a little different. Kara Danvers is truly human. She’s awkward and funny and cheerful. Supergirl is truly alien. She’s like this role model that everyone excepts to be good all the time, she’s a god in the citizens’ eyes. She’s a hero: good, kind, strong, and she bears the weight of the world on her shoulders; she has so much responsibility. Kara Zor-El is a Kryptonian. She is fragile and can be broken, she bears the burden of an entire planet on her shoulders, but she still gets up every day and goes on with life. She is neither human or alien. She’s a mix between both. Supergirl is a god, Kara Danvers is a human, and Kara Zor-El is a Kryptonian. It’s a little difficult to put into words but I’m sure you get what I mean. They’re like three separate people, like three separate personalities that were fused together into one being. As Supergirl she is unlimited, free, strong, and in essence, she is a god. Kara Danvers is just a reporter working at CatCo who’s friends with Lena and is cheerful and goofy and optimistic. Kara Zor-El is burdened by her past and has these powers pushed on her that she didn’t want. She had these responsibilities and the need to fit in ever since she watched her planet blow up. But she is also powerful. Her emotions are not as in control as Supergirl’s; she is a bomb and she is dangerous but she is also in pain. That’s kind of my analysis of Kara.
Wow this is so sad all the things she had to lose but she found family and friends to keep her safe she also found out that there are other superheroes like her
Alone on a different planet with people you dont know with only your memories and halogrames of the people you loved and the only one left dont share thise memories cuz he was only a baby man i dont know how that feels but sometimes it does cuz no one listens and no one cares about things but is shows who you are if you choose to fight for strangers proof that you are going to go far in this universe, trust me being and alien and feeling like an alien arent the same but it feels like it but everything gets better somehow
I feel really bad for Kara • her whole world dies • she loses her mom • she lost her again when Non put her in the forgot what it was called • she wanted to live with Clark but couldn’t • barley sees Clark • doesn’t feel at home on Earth • loses Mon el (the only guy that made her feel really happy) (I really miss karamel) • loses her best friend Winn • Mon el comes back with a wife • reign beats her up really bad and she loses hope • Alex had to get mid wiped • finds out her mom is alive but loses her again • loses Oliver, he was like a big bro to her • loses Lena • Lex is alive and has the whole world on his side And many more She has lost so much but she has and will never give up hope. She a literal hero

Nati - thanks for this video. Very well done. I enjoy seeing superheroes showing they are human, but even then, their innate values and courage comes through making them even greater heroes. This show has so many powerful and sentimental moments. Unfortunately for me I stopped watching it a couple years ago (after season 3 I think). I hate the format that all of the CW/DC shows go to after the first season which is one season long story arc where the good guys fail over and over again until the finale.
Kara is my favorite DC superhero, no matter what. She has been through hell and back and has even gone to the Alien version of hell and she survived and was better for it in the end. She lost so many people, she lost her plant. Had to watch her mother die twice and then get her back twice and then she had to sit back and smile as her home was taken over by Lex Luthor, who everyone thought was a God more or less. And then she nearly died because of him.... I just fell like she deserved better and when she and Mon-El didn't end up together I felt like dying
What I love about the arrowverse, not just Supergirl, is that: regardless of them being the greatest heroes of all time, they've had horrible defeats Bad enough that lasted for weeks, if not months, but they never gave up It sometimes took them several tries and several injuries till they could defeat the villain, it wasn't just a "I got defeated once and suddenly I can defeat the villain a 2nd time" They were forced to face their worst fears and it showed how much they hated it, how scared they were sometimes, but they kept going Somehow, it makes them relatable; it takes several tries to better yourself and face your fears, but eventually you'll succeed if you try hard enough
With Oliver and Barry they got the girl but with Kara she went through so much pain with Mon-el and thats the one thing I hate why can't she have a happy romantic life like Oliver and Felicity Barry and Iris but Kara no happy relationship
she went through so much for years she floated through space in a pod not knowing if she would ever see anything again except for the dark void of space and then she loses her boyfriend the man she loved and then he came back married and her heart broke again and she never gave up she kept fighting even when times where tough she never stopped no matter what
Kara Zor-el might not be human but Kara Danvers is.
