Honestly, the writers dropped the ball with Nick's character and this relationship. He was a great support for Olivia, both personally and as a partner, he could have been a great Sargent helping her out and he and Rollins had great chemistry together, it really looked like there was love and care from both sides. I love Dodds and Carisi too but I feel that letting Nick go was unfair to the character.
no better way to put that. nick was my all-time favorite character on svu and i was devastated when they let him go. there was something about danny's character on the show that made it feel real, like i don't know how to explain it but his character was the one that spoke the most to me. he played the role very perfectly, i don't think anyone else could've done it the way that he did. i still can't let go of the fact that he's not on the show anymore, like the only reason i even really watched the show was because of him. he just tied it all together, and they took him off like it was nothing. i feel like his character could've done bigger things if he was left on. it can't be normal for me to feel so attached to a fictional character like what- 😭🤚🏻✨

@@fernandolossa6188 amen! don't get me wrong, i loved stabler, but as long as he was liv's partner there was no room for any growth for any of them. liv and el were so close yet their relationship was so destructive to the both of them that it was just unhealthy, like their friendship was just weighing them down. i never saw liv as happy as she was with nick, she grew so much after he joined the squad after she learned that she could trust him, not only as a partner but as her best friend. he helped her mental health and kept her safe all at the same time and i feel like he never got credit for anything he did. one of the most underrated characters, for sure. :(
I started watching law and order with stabler all during my childhood. But when detective amaro came on the show. he grew on me. He's one of my favorite characters on SVU. He went through so much . I wish he stayed on the show.
They should have kept his character on the show. He gave that Stabler element, only younger.
