My compressor went out after only 3.5 years, good luck with yours. It is getting replaced this week ( we will see how long this one lasts). Going on our second week without a fridge. I am now very suspicious of the linear compressors reliability in these units. Our last fridge was a whirlpool side by side that lasted 18 long years.
We also just had our Kenmore Elite refrigerator go which had an LG compressor that we paid almost $3,000 for 6 years ago ! Because it was the compressor, the repair was going to be more than $1,300 so naturally we opted to just buy another refrigerator..... Certainly should be fair by any means as that is a ton of money to spend for an appliance that only lasted 6 years.... Plus, Sears where we bought it has closed almost every store so when you call for service you get a generic repair service that answers and they couldn't come out for 2 weeks and tried to sell us on a service plan etc.. so they were useless ..... The old saying that they don't make them like they used to is so correct that's for sure .......
I'm assuming you removed the right middle shelf to store larger items and that's probably why left shelf is weaker since you need both shelves for full support?
Question, did you ever have an issue with a coating bubbling or peeling on the doors, near the handles specifically? Ours is and I’m wondering if I’m supposed to take it off? I thought it was the special coating for fingerprints? Help!
Ya it took an entire month to get here from LG after purchasing from Lowes. Wild ride but ya they honored it. Kinda crazy. $799 plus tax , free delivery

How noisy is it? We just replaced our old LG with a Frigidaire and it's so loud in comparison.
It is very quiet I can only hear it run if I literally put my ear up to it. Normal day I don’t hear it at all.
Good luck with the LG Inverter Linear Compressor. Known to go bad and need replacing. Expensive.

No, it will only work with both doors closed.
My only complaint is the ice maker. Once empty, it takes 48hrs to refill again. Its a joke. Its only enough ice for 4-6 glasses anyway

Are you sure it's not the protective plastic that comes on electronics that you're supposed to peel off?

Ir was probably an open box, which means it’s returned and came without a box
It was actually a pricing error and I got it brand new in the box. I guess I got lucky.
