  • Should you visit Toronto in November? November in Toronto starts off in the midst of Fall. Halloween just happened, the trees are full of red and orange leaves, and the temperatures are starting to dip. This November we had temperatures ranging from 7C to 0C. We had a few days of rain, but no snow. The first 11 days - up until Remembrance Day - we try to stay in the Fall mode. But come November 12th - Christmas is in full effect. The sales start, the trees go up and all of the yearly events, such as the Distillery Winter Village, open for the season. In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October - not November like the US - however, we fully embrace Black Friday sales. So much that the stores now use 'Black Friday' basically for the entire month of November.
The National Ballet usually has a couple different productions in November - this year it was Emma Bovary and Onegin. The AGO has a couple big exhibits: KAWS and Keith Haring. Plus, the One fo a Kind Craft Show can't be missed!
So if you decide to visit Toronto in November you will find less tourists, but lots going on in the city.
