Actually had my jaw drop, they need to acknowledge him more. MF DOOM is partially the reason why i got back into comics again.

The fact that Doom named her Valeria after his love was some heart warming shit. He saved her then she sacrifices herself for him. That is some great writing.

I was actually hoping this would be the start of an ongoing title. I don't know of anyone who writes Doom quite like Hickman

Art, color, writing....all top notch.

I was underwhelmed
I was lost reading this. First, how is Galactus so powerful? He literally kills every single hero/villain. Second, what happened to doom prior to this issue? Finally, what gave doom the power to overcome Galactus? Other than that, I enjoyed the artwork very much
We don't know that doom actually overcame anything, it was a extremely somber ending which I really like. He freshly got his ass beat by Galactus, leveled up a bit and went back out to fight a fight that couldn't be won that's it the end...........or maybe doom overcomes?
Because the big G's power is variable. Normally he just feeds when he needs to, usually leaving it to when he is starving to do so. He tries to conserve energy for this reason. However this Galactus has basically said eff it and becomes a glutton, an energy addict just mindlessly consuming everything in his path increasing his power to ridiculous levels.
