@@banklifegarethcompton5714 Hi bud, ive just cum across your vid on poachers pond, ive got a trip there august, after sum info if u dont mind, u said it was very weedy? wondering wot type and height is the weed mate? And the rigs u were using. Im new 2 carp fishin lol. So any info u could give me would b a great help. Keep of the good work. Cheers mick.
Really enjoyed this one mate, nice informative vid and unlike many others no product push. Good quality visuals and blend between footage. Well done fella, not many out there getting it this right.
That lake is at least 30 years old. It used to be part of the "Brack Hill" complex. In the mid 2000's the pits were re-worked. I fished that very swim many times, back in the early 2000's. I remember the tree line - it was pretty much the same. Back then, there were some lovely dark old fish in there, up to low 30's.
Thats good to know thanks for sharing that info i did mean the new stock had been in there 5 or 6 years and there are meant to be some old original fish left in there👍
The originals were special fish, I believe they were breed by Bernard Hunt, who was Amy Roadstone fishery manager. The fish were the same strain as the original St. Ives complex fish. Back in the day there was about 30 fish in there.
@@steveallen1635 il find out if there still in there as quite a few fish got otterd a few years back if they are il have to go back and have ago for them again thanks for the info im sure people wiil find it helpful:)

Just to make it clear i no this carp are not true English fish but this was about meeting up with a few mates and abit of banter and a good laugh and some food
I dont give a crap were a carp came from as long as ppl injoy fishing for them thats all that matters, let the hates hate. Also there is no such thing in my book has a true english carp they are all imports or have been spawned from imported fish. Let the hate begin.
