Good video Glenn. In honesty, I really only use my electronics for the GPS, water temp, speed, and depth. I should learn to use them to catch fish off shore but I prefer to fish in the shallows. I think this summer I will set out to do some offshore fishing and learn to use my fish finders to actually find and catch fish. Maybe you can do a basic video on that and dumb it down for guys like me who arent so bright. 😂😂 You, have probably already done that kind of video though. Anyways, keep up the great work!
Yeah I would say along with a map software card like Lakemasters vx, utilizing its tools such as SmartStrike. It has put me onto some spots of fish that I never knew would be a good spot to fish, on a lake that I've fished all my life (50+ years).
One important recommendation (something I learned the hard way) is if you're going to get a GPS unit for Mapping at your console, do NOT get anything smaller than a 9-inch screen. I "saved money" by getting a 7-inch unit and it was so small that the mapping was virtually impossible to see while running out on the lake. In fact it was so difficult to see that it was downright dangerous at anywhere near full speed. I had to sell it at a loss and then buy a unit with a 9-inch screen. Of course not as good as a 10 or 12-inch, but at least it's adequate and much safer. I could have avoided wasting a lot of money if I hadn't tried to save pennies with the smaller unit.

I did the same thing. Bought a 7 inch, its a waste of money, for the most part. 9 inch minimum, 10 better, 12 expensive, lol.
