  • Three UGA students describe their time in the Washington Semester Program. Students in the program live and work in the nation's capital while earning credits toward graduation.
Health promotions major Caleb Smith talks about working at a K Street law firm and living in the Delta Hall residential facility, a 10-minute walk to the Capitol Building. William Cano, an international affairs major, finds the opportunity to do research at a Washington foreign policy think-tank. And Caroline Schneider, a political science and criminal justice major, gets her dream internship at the U.S. Department of Justice.
The Washington Semester Program is one of many learning opportunities at the University of Georgia that allow students to apply what they've learned in the classroom to experiences that can shape careers.
