It's worth noting that quest avatars have to be below 10MB size limit, if your avatar is too big, reducing the quality and texture resolutions will be required.

I don't see any button that says "Switch build to Android". I made sure that the install also had android. Did I need to do any preparation first like changing the shader? I looked again and there was a different button that said to switch from selected platform "windows" to "android". I believe it's the same process. Unity may have updated it since this video was published.

yeah, VRM uses there own set of shaders. Make sure to read up on them before trying any "unofficial" shaders like vrchat or poiyomi VRM has nothing to do with VRChat or the SDK
What if the model you’re using has transparent meshes? I kinda forgot about that and when I tested the shaders, there were black pixels surrounding It.
I seem to have an issue where when I go to Armature (so that I can remove a component of Pys Bones) there is no scripts... Says only "Transform" and nothing below that. But it tells me I still have 1 too many pys bones. Is it hidden somewhere?
you may have something else missing, sometimes the vrchat splash window likes to hide some errors ways to prevent this is deleting all scripts that use the vrcsdk as a dependency (like gesture manager and such) and re-opening your unity project
So if you want the PC only, then you upload to the PC version The way to link PC to Quest is to make sure the Avatar ID is matching across the 2 uploads
so, when I turned my avatar quest compatible it kinda overwrited my PC one, and when I try to publish it back for pc it does the same thing, overwrites the previous one. Anyway to separate em?
they should not overwrite at all quest and pc are two completely different platforms my best guess is you are just uploading to pc or quest both times, meaning something may be wrong with your SDK or scripts
Hey I'm having some issues with my unity version it isnt compatible with android and when i try to add the extension the drop down option to add modules isn't even there, what should i do?
It may mean that the addon for unity may have failed installation, you can try searching google for solutions or try wiping all unity-related stuff and try again Do note I have 2 new more up-to-date videos on this!

good tutorial but do you really make a new project for each avatar?? i just use one project and have each avi as a folder within with a corresponding scene. surely theres a way around that?
I would recommend against doing that, as if you lose or the file breaks you would loose all those projects. i've found it good practice to create a different project for each avatar. it'll make loading it and backing it up faster, and you'll loose less in the event of something happening

I would recommend following my updated tutorials on this, and the PC one goes over how to properly install unity. There are many things that could cause the "add modules" to not work so id follow those newer vids as i also start from scratch and install unity along side you ^-^

If your avatar uses cutout / transparency this wont convert over 1 to 1 on quest
Quest does not support alpha perfectly

Sadly quest does not allow transparancy, you may either need to fill the black with the background colors, or use blender to edit the vericies

It may mean that the addon for unity may have failed installation, you can try searching google for solutions or try wiping all unity-related stuff and try again

Hey I found a faster way if u duplicate your avi then switch build mode you can make the dup quest compatible and u won’t have to wait so long
As long as you duplicate EVERYTHING, this can cause some problems when editing stuff
But otherwise you are absolutely correct!

Agreed, but its due to limiting software. You are practically running VR + VRChat all from a mobile phone sized device
At first it only made it Quest only but uuh apparently u gotta upload each platform separately xD

make sure to use the same upload code when uploading both pc and quest!

I have a problem with the Phys Bone Collision check. I have to many an dk where to find them.
Youll need to delete some. They will either be found on an empty, or on each part that could be animated

Whenever I delete physbone colliders, the count keeps on resetting. At one point I made it to 155 collisions but it had reset to 221 again.
You can try closing and reopening your project

@@purgxzur1 that could potentually be it. You could map it yourself in the rig menu (assuming your avatar comes with the right setup)

what if i can't add the module i've reinstalled everything and it didn't change?
I would recommend following my updated tutorials on this, and the PC one goes over how to properly install unity. There are many things that could cause the "add modules" to not work
so id follow those newer vids as i also start from scratch and install unity along side you ^-^
