I like your videos. No fluff, like how to insert a drill bit or how to measure or how to use a tool, just how to make it. And the dimensions are at the end. Very well made. This particular video is interesting and at some point I will make it.

Fascinating. I love all of your homemade tools and equipment videos. And the fact that you use past projects to build new ones shows that they work well. Thanks!

I'm copying this design this weekend, but using a 1" threaded rod as the screw. I'm having a hell of a time drilling straight holes through all my stock, even with a decent drill press (drilling the chop and base together to ensure a good through line, about 6" thick of material). The bit slightly drifted for the guide rods holes, these really have be straight, true and exact to guide properly! Anyway watching this video again, I can really see how well your homemade drill press works, it looks extremely straight and stiff without any play. Great work!

I am a lover of simple but great ideas, such as those that emerge from a piece of wood to become a piece of furniture, sculpture or simply a tool or any tool necessary for the life of men. Every time I see a job that has been forged from the hands of friend Altuntas, I am ecstatic. It is interesting to see how simple ideas come out of manufactures that make the big industry complex. That is why once again we congratulate so prestidigitizing hands to make life easier for those who, without complexes, assume that we do not have the expertise or the experience as demonstrated here. Thank you, 1000 thanks for sharing all this knowledge, without words, but most importantly with the demonstration of the facts. We hope you continue contributing and promoting popular knowledge. From the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela we will continue to admire and value your neat signs of solidarity. Affectionately yours. Atte. Roberto Bermúdez

About two years ago I started to make my own woodworking vice, according a video I saw on YT. But I did not finish it. Probably I made a mistake because it did not work.

You have me thinking of the channel that cut a nut in half (for a QR mechanism), and went into hugely painful detail about using an angle grinder and cut off disk. We used to say that such people should be on Mastermind, specialist subject 'The bleeding obvious'. I couldn't even bring myself to give that video a thumbs down because it would have been like kicking a puppy. Like you say, this channel avoids patronising the viewer, and just gets on with it.

VERY nice. But you forgot one point. If you lean into the vice while it is open, you will push the nut out of the back jaw. To fix this place a washer with a large enough inner diameter to allow the threaded rod through, yet small enough the nut will not push out. Secure the washer with screws that have heads with enough shoulder to fit over the outer edge of the washer. Thanks for an easy to follow tutorial. I loved it.
