But when you play I honestly don’t feel the difference. Maybe compare to a 30 dollar boot. But other than that I’ve never felt special wearing an expensive boot. Maybe it’s just me
No foldover tongue on takedown models? Sorry adidas, you don't know what your customers want. Reintroduce new predator with nostalgic foldover tongue but then only reserve it for the highest tier boot. Of course.
so true, this 2G/3G is a great solution! so they finally caught up with Puma who already offered the MG soleplate, which is great! I wonder if Nike is going to follow as well, because their AG studs are way too long for the AG pitches that I play on ... at least I can now choose between Puma and Adidas when buying boots

Chinese amatual players usually select TF boots on very hard AG pitches and MG boots on slightly softer AG pitches to protect their knees. They shared their demands to ADIDAS NIKE and PUMA however ther was no proper solutions before. Then several Chinese local sneaker maker, Lining ,Karme designed very good TF and MG sole plates and getting more and more popular. ADIDAS then provided 2g 3g sole plate which successful balanced the performance and knee protection. It is a sole plate for amatual players so protective is much more important than performance, so it is heavier as other TF boots do. PUMA did provide MG sole plate but their AG is still too aggressive and TF ultimate version is not quite ultimate. NIKE doesnt provide an elite equivelent version on TF sole plate.

Pretty sure it only looks orange here because of the colour grading they've put on the video in editing.

What i dont get is that, the AG version on Predator 18 was already good, very suitable on AG, why not continue using that soleplate for AG. And if they really want to use MG, why not use the soleplate on the Ace 15, that soleplate was like the perfect FG/AG soleplate. They already have a good technology, why not continue using them, instead trying to reinvent the wheel but end up the new wheel to be bad

My skin softened up pretty bad while playing and now I'm sitting here with very bad blisters on my big toe. No football for me next week and I'm gonna send them back to adidas. Yeah it’s a big deal breaker for me with the weight and thickness of the plate. It’s a shame though as the studs have potential! I agree, doing what PUMA or Mizuno are doing would’ve been better! /Jay
How is the weight of the Pro compared to the Elite model? Is it noticeably heavier and chunkier? I've always been reluctant to get Adidas takedown models because of the large amount of extra weight they sometimes have. I'd like to get a new pair of boots but I don't have time to play anywhere near as much as I used to, so its hard to justify spending all that money on the Elite model unfortunately.
Yep, actually the weights are in the beginning of the video. Elite is 205g vs Pro 250g. It just feels an obvious lot heavier and more chunky really. /Jay

Oath, all the US and Euro reviews were saying the fold over tongue would set you back an extra $20usd or so, then I saw what we were actually getting charged in Aus and nearly had a heart attack.

Have been wearing the pros with an mg outsole q2 for a few days now. I gotta stay its a huge relief from my other boots because i have wide and high feet. So i always needed to get half or one size up which really gave me a lot of blisters and wounds on my feet. The only thing im experiencing right now are blisters on the heel of my foot. My left foot is slightly bigger that my right foot so no problem with the left one. But i am lowkey scared for my right foot. Do i just need to break in to the shoes or do you guys recommend changing them? I also got them for really cheap about 50 euros. Finding boots that fit my feet is really hard for me, so this shoe has been a huge relief.

It depends which version of the website you're on for example I'm on the uk version and I can find the tongue version without any problems, if you can't find the tongue version it simply means it hasn't been released yet in your country
I bought the 2G/3G AG plate because even Nike AG felt unsafe but pred strike feels SO heavy and SO wide. I think 2G/3G is wider than other plates. I had been wearing tiempo AG which weighs 160g but this thing weighs 260! They are even heavier than my turf shoes!!! So far disappointing (also no shoe bag and heel cups!!🤦🏻♂️) but I only played with them for 3 hours. Need some time to break in.
@@machaazahisagama3575 depends on what youre looking for. I repurchased a half size down and played 11v11 for several hours on 2g/3g ag and tiempo 10 elite ag as well. Theyre definitely a fun pair to play with, but if youre looking for joint stress relief, then i wouldnt recommend 2g/3g. My joints hurt more after playing with 2g/3g ag plate compared to tiempo elite ag.

Somehow the fit on the second tier boot is always the worst, especially if you have narrow feet or the heel is always loose or shallow.

because the friction from the ag would destroy the elastic, so they would spend all year replacing items under warranty.
