It's rather disheartening that the used to be a highly respected traditional institution like the Oyo Mesi is being subjected to all sorts of ridiculous allegations that boarder on corruption and bribery. Governor Seyi Makinde having been made aware of these allegations took the most appropriate steps. Since no one is above the law, every member of the Oyo Mesi should be summoned to appear before the EFCC to answer queries. The two Oyo Mesi members that went to confess and confirm receipt of N15million by each of the members should be granted immunity. However, they must be willing to cooperate with the government in their investigation. Alhaji Akeugbagold's name also surfaced in this alledged corruption scandal. He should also be contacted to give his side of the story. Governor Seyi Makinde should leave no stone unturned. He should let the chips fall where it may. God bless Governor Seyi Makinde, viva Oyo State.
