Finally a run that I can consider smooth, because I didn't get absolutely wrecked at a random point by a crapton of magic damage coming out of basically nowhere. It also helps that it's Tyrannical, during which I feel a lot more comfortable than Fortified, because bosses are much more predictable and can be countered, while trash mobs have been absolutely brutal for me.

Love your videos. Im a blood DK and learned a lot from watching your videos. I was wondering how you keep your health up and so level. I was all over the place but figured it out....lol
The facecam is a nice touch. I always appreciate seeing the face behind the voice.

One thing that may help gather up some pulls, is targeting the center mob, Dancing Rune Weapon -> Blood Boil (DRW spawns the weapons at your target, and they duplicate your Blood Boils, so you build aggro on the mobs around you and at the target. Also the parry chance helps survive)
If you're willing to give up a bit of damage, this talent makes you way beefier: BoPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAikkIRSiIiERkISIIJSkAAAAAAIJJBJtEiEAAQkkkEAAAA
This way you can use Vampiric Blood as basic mitigation as it comes back in ~40-45 seconds, you can alternate it with Anti Magic Shell on every big incoming damage phase. Also when VB expires it gives you a massive shield from Umbilicus Eternus (based on Blood Plague damage), that also procs when the set bonus gives you VB so that's a huge absorb that works on magic dmg as well as physical. In massive pulls you get a good 7-8 seconds breathing room when you can just build runic power and not worry about Death Strikes.
Another trick if you decide to try this talent out: if you write a macro that cancels Umbilicus Eternus and then casts Vampiric Blood, and you activate the macro again before VB runs out, the shield from UE will be 40% bigger (due to being triggered under VB) and its cap will be 40% greater (since VB increases max health, and UE's cap is based on that). All in all, in a big pull you get an additional ~2.2-2.7 million absorb shield that works against both physical and magical. Even if you don't cancel it, the shield in big pulls will often be as big as your entire health bar, so that's something.
Pros: Better survivability, higher self healing throughput, basically unkillable so when you get comfy drop Purg for Blood Shot
Cons: less Heart Strike damage, and a bit less Runic Power generation so try to keep that runic power full and don't spend all of it at once :D
I point out the DRW trick of using the weapons for Blood Boiling far away packs, maybe not in this video, but in a few other ones, it's really neat!
I've been suggested the Umbilicus Eternus build, but I think it's only really worth it for Fortified weeks, on boss fights the big hits are a lot easier to plan for so I don't feel the need to be tankier, and Blood Shield always affecting Death Strike, the main source of Single Target damage, is really nice on Tyrannical!
My bad then, I sometimes miss a video, thought I was gonna give you something new 😄 UE gives better value on fortified, but once I started dragging 2-3 packs into a boss I stopped caring about my ST damage

That first boss with the chains is a menace. It's such a tightrope to not break the chains too fast, but also hurry up so the tank doesn't get beaten into a pulp lol
Having the DPS coordinate and say who breaks first and who breaks last, it gets a lot easier, but I've so far never had a PUG do it unfortunately :D

Big salt, but when you hit your big rant on hating frost mages while fighting the last member of the pack by the forges it was silly. Like if you can't grip it then it can't be slowed either. Big dudes just move slowly.
as a frost mage, i don't get why we have sanguine. we are the only spec that has an issue with ANY affix and it's punishing for no reason.
It's not so bad as long as there's no freezing from the talent or for the Glacial Spike guaranteed crits or whatever, it's easy enough to handle the slow and often enough it even helps by letting the weaker mobs trail behind the bigger mobs as the tank kites, leaving Sanguini pools further behind
@@Definitely_Not_Vlad the freezing is a big part of our dmg increase, without the slow/freeze we won't be able to get much dmg.
Yes, but you can wait and freeze the mob once it's out of Sanguine or your damage is nothing but padding on Details because it gets healed and then some
