Even if they don't give the rationales or why we missed the questions, I think it would be great to see what percent were higher level. If I got a 54% but the bulk of my questions were higher level then I'd feel better. Or if we could know what topics we need to study (infection control, health promotion etc.) I've been doing well on other practice tests and thought this one would help boost my confidence. But with only a score and no interpretation of that score it is a little confusing and frustrating. Especially since the NCLEX isn't a pass/fail type test with percentages.
@@TheNCLEXTutor I used Pearson and Uworld and passed my NCLEX On the 17th 😊 I agree with your assessment that the practice test isn't worth the $$. I ended up not taking the second test at all because I didn't want to waste the time.
I want to buy this because I failed the first time. I thought the questions were very vague and worded in ways to confuse me. UWORLD and ATI I do very well but when I took the NCLEX the questions were so vague. I remember reading questions and thinking yeah I got this one and then the answers would be worded in a way that was confusing.
Hey there! They don't even offer these tests anymore! If you want vague NCLEXy questions try Princeton Review. They bought all the questions from NCSBN, which are the people that are in charge of the NCLEX.
I felt the same way and broke down for a week after taking the exam and failing it. I started feeling like I won't do well in the exam even if I studied a lot.
Thank you for these videos! I saw that Princeton Review bought the NCSBN questions and added it to their own questions. Would you recommend this review course? They have this course free for 30 days till 2/28/22. I got it to try it out and they have rationales attached to each question set after completing them. I like the questions but they seem too simple (dare I say easier?) compared to UWorld and fear it could be giving me false confidence… UWorld is definitely kicking my butt a little.
I agree Kori that Princeton Review questions are easier and you should get higher scores with them as compared with uworld because uworld has a tendency to ask about more obscure things (which you would very unlikely be asked about on the real NCLEX)- From what I have done so far, I would say that Princeton Review has a good set of questions.
@@TheNCLEXTutor Thank you so much for your response! I'll be using both as my study aid then; my delusional hope is that NCLEX will be more like Princeton questions but I'll be making sure to keep studying concepts from UWorld as well. Thank you so much for these videos- they help so much.
@@koilorenzo4749 Hello Lorenzo, Have you taken the Nclex already? I checked the website "priceton" I am planning on using both (Uworld and Priceton). Did it work for you? Thank you.
Hi , what’s are your thoughts on using just Princeton review to pass your nclex? Our school suggests using Princeton but the questions seem a little too vague and easy to me .. I don’t want to set myself up for failure..
I agree that they are not super hard and that you should do well on them. I think they are a great resource to use, but I've only done about half of them. I believe the NCLEX is a mix of easier and harder questions. Do Princeton Review and if you feel like you want some harder questions, then get the NCLEX Mastery app. Those are super hard! And a lot of SATAs (which Princeton review doesn't have a lot of SATAs)
So I just completed the NCBSN practice test #1 and received a 50% (63 correct out of 150). How do I interpret this score? How does it compare to others? If this was CAT based then how can we even get a good interpretation of the score? Did I do so poorly that it gave me all easy questions at the end or vice versa? I failed the real NCLEX just over 45 days ago and I’m registered to retake it in a week. I also use Uworld but never really score well on there either. Any input would be appreciated!
Study content! If you aren't doing well, then you may not know the content well enough. Use Saunders to review content or my nugget pages. If you do Saunders questions at the end of every chapter, you should be getting at least 80%.
Yes, I could! I'm actually working on finishing up some other practice questions. But if you want to know my quick opinion - Uworld is better: more SATAs, more "who do you see first" questions; and more thorough rationales.
