I'd watch out for goat heads on the single track this time of year. Also lots of goat head thorns in the streets near valley circle and platt area. Mulholland is the dirt highway. I've taken it to the beach and back, the fresh prince house in Brentwood, and so many other spots. I usually use a 350w ebike for it but it has a 3x with all the gearing I need. It's tough with a cheap 1x MTB without a ton of gear range. My dirt ebike is like 50lb's though. I'd hate to try walking a heavy 100+ lb bike up some of those hills if theres a problem. At least there's often many ways down but some of those trails have crazy climbs. I love having these trails in my backyard. It makes Santa Monica etc seem so much closer than driving by car.
Didn't do a feel test on the hill specifically, but the motor does get hot anytime I ride it hard...I've also gone 10 miles at eco speeds and the motor was barely warm
Yes, the motor gets very hot when riding uphill. Also, if the grade that you’re riding up is pretty steep, the motor will give an error code and shut off due to theload

Nice video with some hills. Tired of all those top speed youtube videos. So do you feel the motor gets hot to the touch when riding up hill a lot ?

How are the brakes? Have you felt the need to change them?
Brakes are great even at top speed. And no need to change them yet...pads have plenty of life still and I stop hard constantly

Got mine from Amazon. And it's set in mph, can't speak for the rest
