Can someone please tell me why do the guys push the cars when they do a burnout? 3000hp cars can't spin the tires unless someone pushes it?

Are they running 1/4 or 1/8 and they never seem to show those guys/gals times. It’s fast but how fast
1/4 mile here. they are running between 7 and 8 sec.
This is all 1/8th mile racing. Running anywhere from a 3.80- 4.30 depending on Rd and car.
