    D Srinivas is a veena exponent from Hyderabad. He studied in the family, making his debut aged nine and going on to be the first veena artist to perform at the UN.     The birds chirping added to the beauty of the sound of veena. I was hoping to hear some maths and physics of carnatic music as title gives that idea.

    Very melodious veena sound from 2.49 - 2.54. Again from 4.04 - 4.37....great artiste

      technically, he spoke about the compositions of integers. partitions do not give importance to order. 4 has 5 partitions (1+1+1+1, 1+1+2, 1+3, 2+2, 4) but 8 compositions (as described in the video). generally speaking, the number of compositions of an integer n is 2^{n-1}, but partitions are lot harder to count. but partitions do become more relevant when you consider building korvais and other rhythmic compositions.

    This video has a very beautiful spirit and lovely musicality... But the technical jargon of physics used seems to be mostly pseudo-science. Please beware!
