The EA888 is one of the absolute best turbo four-cylinders around.
Great performance, very smooth, and very refined.
Except Gen2. That had a boat load of issues and problems, and barely solved them with Gen 3. How do i know? I owned one (Scirocco CCZB version). Worst engine i've had in my entire life.

The CYMC 2017 has really bad engine wear problems, I don't recommend, also I have 9 recalls on a 2017 a4, sad tbh.
Not to be annoying or anything, but be careful guys. Tire rating is VERY important when going fast. And winter tires often have a much lower speed rating on them, compared to summer ones. Just a word of caution. I'm not saying you can't go fast, but do check your tire speed ratings - it's right on each tire.

Limiter… car could go faster. We basically have the same car ( A5 45TFSI) and it shifts into 7th after hitting the limiter. You can feel the stop in acceleration. But strangely ours goes 267 km/h
the sounds of the car when the speed is 260 kmh is intense

I am interested to know if the increased power is from only an ECU remap or more modifications. I noticed the engine revved all the way to 6700 rpm. Whatever the modifications were, the engine refinement is impeccable especially for a 4 cylinder engine. It's quite amazing actually. Great video.
My 17 X3 35i with n55 3.0t engine, it just revs to 7000 rpm stock.
With remap you get 300hp at least
@William maybe your engine has a shorter piston stroke. There are a few factors that influence how high it revs.
Also, if you move the power band to a lower rev range then you don't need to rev the engine that high.

I have the older B9 252ps, which is limited to 155mph, basically same engine and power. By my calculations this reached 165mph? Was the limiter removed?

Сначала 265км/ч при 6500 об/мин..потом резко 5000 об/мин. При той же скорости..
А потом и вовсе 4000 об/мин. При 265км/ч.. чудеса...
Это чудо называется автоматическая коробка перемены передач ( не знаю сколько именно передач вперёд у этого аппарата но думаю что не меньше восьми ) ... Всё элементарно и просто ...

Einfach mit einem A4 fast 270kmh mit bisschen Software geht das Ding auf 300 locker.
Ich denke Tacho 265km/h sind knapp über 250km/h in Echt.
Um 300km/h zu erreichen braucht es schon ziemlich viel Optimierung, über 400 PS sollten es sein. Mit Software reicht es nicht.
@@Jensgerbi Mit Software gehen da locker 300-310 PS 480NM ich denke da wird er locker an der 300KMH kratzen Laut Tacho natürlich nur ^^

Once I read this engine was a four cylinder I didn’t believe it, the engine is incredibly smooth.
Then you won’t believe that the 300hp Golf GTI Clubsport and 320hp Golf R are using this exact same engine and the base model is the 204hp 40 Tfsi, these are all the same engines.

The top gear comes at 259 kmph … wow!
Theres actually a gear more. It shifts into 6th at about 260. The car has 7 gears, but it is limited to a 165, that’s why it shifts also into 7th at 7:23
