Tina and Rob, I loved your excitement when you found your first 2 eggs! That is a fun time kind of like going on an Easter Egg Hunt and finding your 1st few eggs! 🙂 Great job on the feeder. Have a great school year, Tina!
Nice feeder set up!!👏 I'm glad you were informed about the watering bucket system with the "nipples", as they call them. Most homesteaders use that for watering & really like it, since they can keep the top closed & water cleaner. Those first laid eggs are called "Fairy eggs" or "pullet eggs", as you probably know ... always smaller. 💓🐔 Congratulations!!❣👏🍳👍🏻
How exciting….eggs!!! 🥚I was so happy seeing your first eggs. PawPaw is a smart man! You put the cups on there correct Rob. 😊 it helps keep the rain out.
Is there anything buckets can’t do?! (Or Rob?!) Tina, the puppy came right to you when you called her! Smart baby! How eggciting about the hens laying! They’re beautiful eggs! Thanks guys!
Good morning Tina & Rob! It was so cute when the chickens were following Rob into the pen. I loved the excitement you two had when you found your first eggs! Cute video!😁💞
Love your chickens. We made a feeder like that as well. We have a featherd hen who we named Uggs like the boots young ladies wear. My chicks were born June 3rd.
Wow!!! PawPaw was right about the chickens laying eggs. It serms like it was just yesterday they were little chicks and look at them now. Congratulations. 🥚 🥚
‼️👍Great job Tina and Robert, so happy you got some eggs we try to push the like button but it's not letting us, so I'm leaving you this comment Thank you for sharing your videos with us all take good care and warm regards to the rest of your family.🌝‼️
Awesome job chickens. I love the joy and excitement when you guys found your first eggs. and to think there’s just gonna be a lot more coming now having an amazing year at school love my farm family❤❤❤❤❤
That is awesome Rob dis a great job on that new feeder bucket the water bucket was a great idea too congratulations on your first eggs ever from your chickens
The bucket feeder is slick, I learned something today, didn't know there was such a thing and a kit to make a bucket feeder, it keeps the food dry and no waste, and the bonus getting fresh eggs so yummy
So happy that your beautiful chickens finally gave you's two eggs awesome! You guy's do so well w/ you chickens w/ everything they have, that's beautiful thanks to all what you's do!😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
I think you have them upside down. The things that stick out are supposed to be at the bottom, so the feed falls down into them. I could be wrong , though. How exciting to finally be getting eggs!
Hi Rob & Tina, that is awesome on the created chicken feed ❤great job Rob 👍🏼 Loved watching the chickens eating on there new feeder so so awesome 😊🙌♥️ And oh wow, you got 2 eggs that is super cool ❤🙌♥️🙌♥️🙌♥️🙌🤗💝
Put you a wooden fake egg in each of your laying boxes put an x on them to mark them to tell them from the others whenever they start laying eggs this will help them to lay.❤
I'm making a list these things you guys are doing for when we have chickens and may leave for a few days here and there! Great ideas! We plan to get a lot of stuff done in the cooler months so less mosquitoes and heat here in northern Florida. It's great that it included the bit! Congratulations on your first eggs! ❤
Good morning Tina 🫶and Rob 💙 I'm glad that you made it home in time to be in the video Tina! The excitement in your voices was awesome...let the egg laying begin! Excellent project for the feeder, that should make things easier. Thanks for the video and I hope y'all enjoy your day
Great idea Rob, but I believe you have your little cups upside down in your creative feeder. the scoop appearing thing is for the theme to fall down and land in it to keep it off the ground and easier for the chickens without putting their whole head in the bucket. I hope this makes sense to you.
Great job rob yes you have the feeder cups correct this way the rain doesn’t get into the feed !! The eggs are smaller in the beginning the size will increase as they get a little older ! I’m excited for y’all !!
Hi Eob and Tina. Egg production begins. Makes me laugh how they lay tiny eggs first and then they gradually get bigger and the shell is really fragile. Neat little feeder. Great way to save on make your own. Have a great day take care and God bless 💕🙏
Great job on the new feeder bucket Rob. It seems like the little scoop on top should be on the bottom to hold the feed in when it comes down. But I'm not sure. I'm so excited to see your first two eggs. I'm glad we were with you. They are small but will get bigger after the chickens lay a time or two. You have some beautiful chick's. 😊
That’s pretty awesome guys. I’m so happy for you. I hope you get many more eggs and that was pretty cool. How you made that chicken feeder I thought that was pretty cool. Well God bless. Good luck. Sending prayers always.
Dee Dee, Portland Oregon. I’m not a member, but I subscribe. Another fun video from you guys. I enjoyed it. Thank you. Glad to see you. Hop in there. Rob is doing a good job on his own too.
How eggciting 😄👏. Congratulations! I have lots of wild chickens in my yard. They are everywhere here on Guam. Sometimes they find a potted plant to lay in. We can’t claim the eggs unless we know for sure when they laid the eggs. I’m sorta toying with the idea to have a henhouse and have them as free-range.?? 🧐🙃
@Tina and Rob Living off the Hill, congratulations on your first pullet eggs!!! Fun fact, some of the top chefs covet pullet eggs as the best. The yolks stand up better when cooked and have a rich taste. Also many of them will be double yolked. My brother and his business partner call them teenager eggs to help the customers at the farmers market understand why they are smaller. The girls are like teenagers getting their first job and figuring out what needs to be done. In 2-3 weeks you will be getting full sized eggs. 😊
Tina your niece Bree had that bucket thing in the hot summer she had to go out there and put ice in it to keep the water cold I think what you have is it's better at least the water is fresh and cool
Careful you guys because snakes like to coil up in those cinderblocks because they get warm also black widows like to make their webs in cinderblocks. don’t want to see your chickens get bitten. ❤
Congratulations on your first eggs. I think either Kim or Paw Paw had said that first eggs are normally small ones, I guess it could have been Bri I'm not sure lol
What a neat way of making a feeder.Dang Tina I never had a teacher as pretty as you. Pullet eggs alway are so little but that changes .Glad they have started laying.
I only hope you are using food grade pails. I never thought about it until I saw one labeled as such when I was looking for a cheap bucket to store my bag of salt and sand for my driveway in the winter.
I think you need to turn the cups over, so exciting on your first eggs. I used to get an egg until the owners had to leave them in their backyard because of the other neighbor’s dog. I looked so forward to seeing the egg.
I was going to mention in the water video that there were things that you can put in the bottom of buckets. Coghill's made a giant waterer out of a barrel made for storing feed...but I'm thinking they probably still had to dump that now and then to clean it out, cause water gets slimy after awhile.
🍀I think the inserts are installed wrong. The scoops should be on the outside, so chickens don’t have to stick their heads in the bucket. Okay, maybe not after googling. Just looks wrong! LOL
Guys, I actually done the one with the bucket and the water. It did not work out for me, maybe it would be fine for y’all. I still had to clean each one of those little things out because a chicken pecks the ground all day long. And when they go to get a drink of water whatever it is they have in their beak gets washed off/out in their water. I think the food bucket thing is a great idea 👍🏻 I may order the cup things just to throw a couple of the buckets together and see if our chickens like it. Ours free range all day long over many acres so at the end of the day they really don’t want any feed thrown in for them. Because they do go into their fenced area & coop during the night hrs and by 7am they’re out running around again,😂 Great job Rob, God bless u all 🙏🫶🏻
Tina and Rob, I loved your excitement when you found your first 2 eggs! That is a fun time kind of like going on an Easter Egg Hunt and finding your 1st few eggs! 🙂 Great job on the feeder. Have a great school year, Tina!

Good Wednesday morning 🙋♀️ 🐕 ! It's great that you made the chickens a food container. You could get a square cement block to sit the bucket on. 😊

Chickens love the wet ground after dumping water 😊
It’s almost time to move there pen so they can have fresh grass
What a good idea. Now the chickens will never be hungry .😊😊🐔 🐥
I hope so!
Watching this late. I just had to say that Tina you look beautiful in red. Definitely your color. Hi Rob. Congrats on the eggs
Thank you so much! ❤
Rob, l hope you dumped out the plastic shavings on the inside & cleaned the bucket out even with a dry towel . 🪣 Good job!
Very cool! 🐓 Congrats on the first eggs!! 🥚 🥚

The feed has to fall down into the cups for them to eat
I think it to keep the rain 🌧️ out. ❤😊 I’ll double check…. Ty ❤😊
