@treyspiller6177 what's Tyreek run? My point is that more speed only helps. It serves a purpose beyond just catching the ball as well. CB's have to give a bigger cushion the faster the wr thus giving more room for the running game and other players to work shorter routes. Annoys me when people dismiss speed. It's so obviously advantageous.
@@joshhughart289 More speed only helps if they can stop and start just as quickly as they would before. Tyreek's speed is so dangerous because it's so controlled, and he's able to utilize it in a more practical way than some other speedsters.
Born June 3, 2002. Played high school football for the Bishop Gorman Gaels (NV). Played college football for the Washington Huskies. Drafted #9 overall by the Chicago Bears. Rome, best of luck with "Da Bears."
I like the way he runs after the catch… That kick return shows just how good he is at making decisions on where to cut next, he’s got excellent instincts and moves really well within space and he can move faster but it’s almost like he’s just gliding, but I think he has more speed in there if he wants to be more explosive… Because most of the time he’s got that long speed but he takes it easy, long and easy speed that allows him to just goinside and outside very smoothly because of his decision making process, you can almost see him thinking which way am I gonna go, he’s already looking ahead I can tell or is fine to go on his next cut. So he could be one of the top receivers in this draft, similar to Keon Coleman, they move well within space for larger receivers. Really good instincts and they seem faster than they look.
He’s good and plays a lot like Mike Evans but like how open would he really be at the next level? I’m not seeing the kind of separation or deception or speed a WR needs to be a WR taken in the 1st round.
Not many WR can win 1v1 like him. He has insanely good hands, great in quick outs, great in jump balls, great in over shoulder catching which he will be a serious threat on goal to go situations with fades. You don't need to be the fastest dude out there if you can do all those other things extremely well. I am hoping my Giants get him with their first round pick because he is going to be special.
Other highlights show his one weakness if you will in that he usually gets tackled in stop and catch situations. There are better receivers as far elusiveness and breakaway speed on short or mid range stop and catch in space plays I mean he will get talked but he can do everything else and he’s an amazing route runner and gets separation every time with great hands and radius so don’t let that one aspect that’s missing fool you he’s still a No. 1 and high production receiver. Normally he’d be a top 5-7 pick but with the run on all the QBs in the top 5 he’ll get pushed down and be there at 8 or 9(Chicago/cough).
Solid and reliable but maybe overhyped. Agree with others about lack of separation but he makes those contested catches. He goes up and attacks the ball with his hands, is smooth and tracks ball in air well, Back shoulder catches are nice. I see a mix of George Pickens, Puka Nacua, and a young Alson Jeffery. He should be a decent run blocker with his size.
Agree every highlight someone's on him, all contested catches. Deffo can play the ball in air but that only can get you so far. Wouldn't spend high capital on a slight edge on 50/50 balls
I kind of agree, I don't really see it. I see a lot of dynasty ff drafts him being the 3rd wr off the board and I don't see it. Doesn't separate and is a body catcher. He's far from a burner and his route tree is one dimensional. Not going to touch him at his current projections.
@@flyinlikelions Just seeing this guy now. Agree it's all jump ball/back shoulder stuff, and he is really good it. No separation against college talent tough. At worst he is Doctson. At 2:40 you see him run a decent route so maybe this is all qb/system related.
Im gonna go on a limb and say hes at best a #2 wr in the NFL. I dont see enough speed or separation. seems more of a contested catch possession wr. Not alot of separation honestly. I don't understand How 99% of draft people have him ranked higher than Keon Coleman and even Brian Thomas Jr. They seem more dynamic, especially after the catch.
He’s a bit overrated . Don’t see the explosion / separation ability . A lot of his catches are contested / have a a corner right in his hip pocket . Give me Nabers all day
He’s the next Quinton Johnston. This guy gets no separation and just goes for 50/50 balls off streak routes. Those are not players you get in the first round. Streaks and jump balls. Kansas City, Dallas and teams to that effect could use him but all these fans that need a true WR1 are hoping he comes to their team not realizing it’ll be underwhelming
You are on crack if u think he is remotely anything like johnston. Johnston's biggest issue was his hands and being able to catch away from his body. He's also way more agile and quick but his drops have been his main issue this year along with probably now shaken confidence. Odunze on otherhand has insanely good hands, solid route running, and elite 1v1 jump ball skills. QJ still could end up being a solid player but Odunze is on another level draft prospect wise. He will be a game changer and QBs best friend who will bail them out on jump balls.
Dude knows 0 ball. Quentin struggles because he is a body over the shoulder type wr and doesn’t go up and get it. Odunze is the best contested wr in college football. He goes up and gets the ball with his hands not his body. He gets open a lot you must of not watched the Oregon pac 12 game. He just also happens to be the best fade catch wr in college.
