I really do like a lot of your stuff, but I feel like you could have used a crappy dresser instead of this pretty mid century one. It was kind of heartbreaking to see it pulled apart like that. I’m not hating, I love most of your pieces. You are so talented.
This was water damaged, had broken legs that needed repaired, handles were cracked and needed removed and tons of chips and scratched down to the particleboard. I only upcycle and flip damaged pieces, I would never touch a perfectly good mcm piece.

Knowing styles and periods would help people such as this young lady determine what to create and what to bring back. Unfortunately, many of these UA-camrs are too young to appreciate style. There are plenty of great ideas.
Really dude? It's some basic dresser that someone probably bought at Sears. You can see that it's made of MDF and it's a piece of garbage. It's not even that attractive if it wasn't busted and cheap.

There is no craftsmanship as it's just a mass produced piece of furniture. That piece was probably never touched by a human holding a tool until she got it

That dresser was a classic from that period, I wish u you'd just fixed the original drawer handles and refinished it. However, since you have already redone this dresser, I don't think the 2 drawers with bamboo sticks match the color of the paint. A wash of the paint over the bamboo sticks would help it match better. Just my thoughts.

i think it wouldve been better if the bamboo was also applied to the third drawer or maybe the last two drawers as well. the divider between the third drawer and fourth drawer kinda makes this piece look off
I honestly see and don’t see why people feel the need to comment about her destroying a good piece. Like- my logic is she’s giving it a new life, if anyone else would have picked it up it would have either eventually been thrown away and burned or been restored…or be put to dust and rot in a basement or something. So I see it as she’s not letting a beautiful piece go to waste 🫶🤷♀️ Love what you’ve done with it Btw!

I like that she sanded the sticks down to size after putting them on (the amount of time I see flips using sticks like that where they are all slightly off it annoying but not this). Don’t really understand why people be hating it. Also finally a piece that isn’t freaking cream / white.
I'm thinking I'd have liked it better is all the drawers had been like the top two. Some will find in really great for their personal style, and love the bamboo and stain finish though. Thanks for sharing.

I sanded it down on top and used a satin blocker so It wouldn’t reappear through the paint. Y’all assume a lot for only seeing a 20-30second video 🤣

It’s a “soft fit” which means I apply the handle lightly, look at it to make sure it’s 100% even and straight and then I tighten it x
I think I liked the vibe of the before better. Would have been really cool to improve it while keeping the mid century vibe.
