Yeah we better not mention Slapper either it'll confuse these North Americans 😂 Only overly promiscuous British/Australian women would be offended we love the would slag "You Slaaaaag"
Repaints have allowed me to buy some of my favorite character molds without having to pay the exorbitant prices for the name. $22 Twincast vs $70 Blaster
and the funny thing is that he's literally thr same guy too, just renamed because new colors lol. It's like galvstron from the unicron trilogy, uts just megatron in a new color scheme
I love that Storm Jet figure. Got him and reviewed some time ago and I've adored it since. Old repaints really helped expand, especially in the early 2000s
The RID Jhiaxus really is an awesome repaint of BM Skywarp. I bought it on a whim at KB back in the day. I had just started my first job out of college, and I had a few extra bucks in my pocket for just about the first time in my life. It turned out to be the figure that got me into collecting Transformers. Before that, they were just toys I loved in the 80s. Now they are practically a way of life. Thanks evil pumpkin jet!
The "Thundercracker" is actually the powered-up form of Starscream from the show (whereas Galvatron got to change his name, everyone else just got new paint), and that release uses the new Legacy Armada Starscream mold. The Star Saber that comes with Super Starscream has the vastly superior deco despite still being a dinky version of the weapon, haha!
I think the first figure, originally called Diaclone Powered Convoy (I think) is probably my white whale/ holy grail. I would absolutely love if they reissued it, or a KO would be made. Great video Captain!
Yep I totally agree the shows made me want the toys. Just like you say as a kid I noticed the minibots and even the regular cars and jets didn't quite match up to the animation versions but they had the colours and the names and as a kid I wanted the set of them. I was lucky enough to own all 6 minis and half the cars. Some of the robots had their own charm though like I prefer Huffer as the mysterion design and Gears and Brawn too. With a good show I would like to think that line of toys would have taken off too. It is important to kids that characters have interesting stories to inspire and captivate them. Then you can print images on merch and people want it lol.
I recommend that new blue G2 recolor of 86 Grimlock coming out in Age Of The Primes. It looks so cool it actually makes me wish I didn't already have the 86 version
I got that Yellow Grimlock for $5 at Walmart. Just missing a gun. Nice video. Now I gotta pick up that Armada Thundercracker. Didn't know they made that!
I had that Energon Ultra Magnus, and loved it, but had to sell it many years ago for cash-flow reasons. Darned good toy. Still have that "G2" Ramjet, though, along with all my other Classic Seekers
From a distance I almost mistook it for MP-31 Delta Magnus, which I bought while my 86 Magnus was in limbo. I actually have a ton of repaints in my collection. TFCC Animated Jackpot, TFCC Runamuck and Over-Run, TFCC SG Cyclonus, TFC's SG Perseus, all of Hasbro's recent SG stuff, Straxus, Emirate Xaaron and Flame, and I should just stop...
Few months ago I ordered legacy Dirge, after a few weeks they shipped him, but sent me Nemesis Leo Prime instead, yeah I returned him. I'm still hesitant to order another Dirge now. I love the Grimlock, I wish the stripes went all the way up the body. Seemed silly not to. He's my stand in until I get the 86 reissue.
Got the G2 Universe Grimlock a couple of weeks back and I love him, unfortunately because I have the SS86 and Comic version I guess I'll need to get the Shattered Glass version to complete the set.
F.Y.I., Kaptin Ky-hole🕳. . . Following in the footsteps of Grimlock - who created the Technobots - fellow Dinobot SLAG was inspired to create his own Autobot sub-group in reaction to his treatment in Marvel's TRANSFORMERS U.K. series. An indomitable subversive spark compelled Slag to dub his new faction, the "BUGGERBOTS" - comprised of BELL-END, BULL-LOCKS, KNOBHEAD, SOD-OFF, TOSSOR, and WANK-GAR! Together, they can combine to form the gigantic POOF-TOR! Of course, Slag unleashed them upon Great Britain as his parting gift. 😜
I’m generally ok with repaints, I have many of them after all. But the recent release of SuperGod Masterforce MetalHawk has to be Hasbro pushing the envelope on how lazy they can be to make a quick buck 🤷🏻♂️
I’m from the UK and Slag will always be Slag. My parents had no problem buying him for me way back when 👍🏻

Don't forget in the English edit of Armada Starscream does say he looks like Thundercracker so it can still be used for that colour
Storm Jet is my favorite of those. The Beast Machines Jetstorm mold is one of the best molds of the past 30 years, which is why they used it 5 times.
I am a pathological contrarian and love repaints. Delta Magnus, Armada Super Starscream, and Armada Powerlinx Prime are my grails.
I think the first figure, originally called Diaclone Powered Convoy (I think) is probably my white whale/ holy grail. I would absolutely love if they reissued it, or a KO would be made. Great video Captain!
OMG a missing link Ultra Magnus gives me goosebumps!

The Starscream is from the Legacy Starscream mold. So he is new. I got him and love him

There is also the awesome recolor of beast wars Depth Charge in the Universe version
I may have to include that one in my next repaint video.
That Beast Wars episode had all of the Maximals get nemesis clones. So we should get nemesis' of all those bots.
I would love a mainline Thunderscraker (Super Starscream) and a Skywarp repaint as well.

That Prime Megatron has the Animated Shadow blade Megatron's colors.
I'm a sucker for repaints. I am hoping to get a diaclone colored version of the studio series Ultra Magnus.
Brit here, I like the name bloody Knockout, sounds like someone is cursing at him
Repaints are necessary due to the limitations of manufacturers on cybertron a robots are optimization for function less expression.
You know what they say. It's all about those functionless expressions.

That Stranger Things episode was set the year before Ultra Magnus was released.
Yes, I know. All kinds of errors.
Got the G2 Universe Grimlock a couple of weeks back and I love him, unfortunately because I have the SS86 and Comic version I guess I'll need to get the Shattered Glass version to complete the set.

The Jetstorm mold is perfect even if its not accurate. Also there's a spark for the vehicon???
Jetstorm has Silverbolt's spark
Tell me we're going to get a review of Lewin resources Metroplex

👍👍
Nobody complains about Skywarp.
What music is playing in the background?
How much did you pay for armada thundercracker?
About $55
I got mine on RobotKingdom, and he totaled about $80 US after overseas shipping costs
Hi
