I replaced the intake manifold gasket’s, and cleaned all of the carbon out of the throttle body and the IAC along with replacing the plugs wires the truck ran a lot smoother. Maybe air to fuel ratio could be off. Nice truck thanks for the video!
Reset the pcm after 02 sensors replacement Also take off carb and clean it really good. And put zip ties of gas pedal cable inside the truck to bring it up if there is play in the cable. Helps alot.
I put big tires on my tuck with stock rims and been getting horrible gas Mileage 😢 I think I am getting less than 10 mpg with the v6 so I am going to swap tires and do oxygen sensors and electric fan
hello, can someone please show me where does the ground harness gets connected from the frame? Mine is only atteched to the frame and the other end its just flying around next to the left side of the engine. Cheers
Have you finished the retro fit yet? I have the same headlights and want to retro fit them. They are terrible visibility need projectors and add fog lights.
I bought mine in 2000 with 27k miles. Just took it on 400 mile trip and i was getting 15.2 and towing 5,000 lbs i was getting 9.3 mpg. All new parts helped a lot.
I would look into new tires. A good AS brand will get you 1-2 mpg over a cheap AT tire any day. Also, that airbox mod is terrible. It's sucking hot engine bay air into the intake rather than cool air from under the fender like the original design. K&N reusable filters suck too. You would have been better off focusing on throttle body/MAF sensor cleaning, new EGR components and IAC, in my opinion. New plugs and wires were a good call through.
Great video. Thanks for showing how to do some simple maintenance on the 6cylinder 10th gen. F150

No carburator on this 😂
Check for throttle cable slack and add zipties to compensate for the stretching
Nice vid man no one really make new videos on these trucks
Thank you. I have this truck for 22 years now.

Mine is getting a little over 18 97xlt 4.2 5 speed. I just checked it to day

On it, will be done soon.
Dang! I have an 03 with 5.4 Triton. All i do is change the oil and it gets like 18
V6 in the truck should be illegal. It takes a lot more throttle to get moving vs v8. But that’s what i could if afford 24 years ago 😀
I have a 2000 f150 5.4 4×4 i bought new 21 yrs ago and still have the window paper. It says...12 mpg city and 16 highway. Still gets that.

I have an 03 with a topper and drove 3500 miles on a trip and got 18 mpg for the majority and 15 on the mountain portion of the trip

My oversized tires are eating few gallons for sure.
2010 f150 super cab 5.4 average 11 mpg 2 mile commute to work 30 mph speed limit. Is that normal?
Sounds about right, problem is that your commute is short so your truck doesn't get to operating temp.
Dang, I get 14mpg in my 6.2 Raptor on 35s?
That’s impressive, mine is terrible, no matter if you drive wot or cruising it gets same mpgs. I think injectors are next on the buy list.
@@AmelsGarage My 4.2l f150 is misfiring and puffs out black smoke at full throttle but if I drive it easy it gets about 18mpg
In your calculations, you said $6.00. What you meant to say is 6 gallons.
I think he said 6 gallons, it was his accent
Try a electric fan
That would be great.

Butchering your air filter didn't help. K and M has been proven to make things worse.
Oem filter intake pipe that is in the fender is smaller than throttle body, so it’s restrictive. i definitely felt the difference.
