Only part I disagree is where he speaks about fantasy being used to engage with the culture, because the saints (the Orthodox saints, of course), in unison, forbid fantasy. Other than that, very truthful. Orthodoxy must remain ancient in order to be relevant.
I think you misunderstand what he meant. The current culture sees the Gandolf like wizard characters as good and pure through their fantasy. So when they see an Orthodox Priest they tend to view them as Gandolf like. This is where he states that there is an opportunity to connect with this culture and teach them about Orthodoxy and Christ.
Amen, to this Awesome Video. I have no respect for Women Nun’s not wearing Their habit’s. As a Roman Catholic, You don’t know, whose a Nun any more. I first noticed this in 1974 and I don’t like it at all.
