As a US naval submarine officer during the Cold War, I had the pleasure of visiting HMS Torbay not long after it was commissioned. We also participated in a few joint exercises with UK subs as well as surface ships (“targets”) from several NATO countries. Our hosts’ seamanship was next-level stuff - like it is in their blood.

Back in the day before the Queen Elizabeth class US carriers had to dock in Southampton as they couldn't get into Pompey, damn fine looking ship. I got the chance to look round Nimitz when docked over in Norfolk with HMS Hermes. Those were the days, great video

Closest thing to a battlestar that's been made. When I see 2 or three I hear the opening riff of the old bag theme lol

We got to see it in Halifax, Canada with some other NATO warships! It was an imposing, impressive sight on the harbour.

Thats one way of solving the Bound for UK inflatables just convert a submarine into a Giant Vacuum submersible & suck them up.

Very nice to see them, nice video. I have the Alvaro de Bazan DD in the PC game World of Warships. Nice to see her in "real life" (well in video, haha)
