I usually get about 270 . I make sure my foraging level is 4 before salmonberry time . Could be more if I choose forest farm or open the secret woods by that time .
I would consider using resources like the wiki as I discover things and have questions part of the blind experience. Im playing the game as most people would when they first try it out. This isn’t meant to be a challenge run or anything, just a first experience with no prior knowlegde :)
