I'm sorry I never saw them at CBGB's but back in those days you took your life in your hands going east of Broadway. I didn't know what a hot, tight band they were since all you heard on the radio was Heart of Glass and Call Me, seasoned with a little Rapture.

Man, I grew up in the West Village- going to the East Village was a no no for me. Although I did grow up in the 90s, so the late 70s and even the post-punk of the 80s were before my time. Unfortunately all of Downtown has changed due to gentrification and rezoning. I respect that you at least lived through the time when you could hear Blondie through the radio/live, I wish I could have been around there too.
