What an amazing voice!
Absolutely beautifully song and terrific guitar playing!!
I first heard CT in 1985 fall... my guitar guru had a 10-20 album order show up from his Chicago record store, all imports and bands we had never heard of... CT's Dynamine and Echoes in a Shallow Bay... Dead Can Dance... also Christian Death and Four-Way Cross. My girlfriend in 1989 bought Heaven or Los Vegas and I couldn't afford it, and she listened on headphones on a Walkman, so I didn't get to hear it much. You never saw CT in the record store, not even in the import bin, not even in a college town. Suddenly around 1992 a US distributor made them available everywhere, and I got a full set of everything. Except due to bad memories of the breakup with that chick I never got Heaven or Los Vegas! I still don't own a copy! Anyway, I bet there's no band that has gone from less famous to more famous over a 30 years. They must have 40x the fan base now as they did when they were together. There are a few other hidden gems like Nike Drake but have any of them gotten CT's level of fame and love?

there are a surprising number of surprisingly good ones! I was listening to Cocteau Twins in 1985... my GF in 1988 bought this CD and it's almost the only one I never had... Anyway, we had to buy it on import back then. Then around 1992 suddenly everything was available in every big record store.
