Ha. Funny comments about biking in the rain. :) Living in Seattle, I assure you, there's just as much you can do as in the cold. I recommend a helmet with an eye shield, rain jacket, DWR pants, and waterproof shoes. I have rain chaps if it gets really intense and full rain pants if I really have to stay dry and can wear my DWR pants for some reason (have to be dressier at work maybe). And even if you get a little wet, bring a change of socks and you'll be OK. I promise, you won't melt, as the Germans would say.
