Your content really is something else: The no bullshit introductions to the decks being played, your humble politeness towards opponents, the well-paced flow of the gameplay, the puns and funny reactions etc. It all just adds up to so well-rounded, easy to digest and entertaining mtg content! You are the sole reason I sold 2 of my paper decks and invested in esper reanimator - thanks a bunch! Always a pleasure to watch your modern content. Keep up the great work! :)
Wow this comment makes me smile like an idiot. Being appreciated, even a little bit by the community is so heart warming I cannot even begin to describe it. Thank you very much for your kind words and support. Really made my day!
I enjoy these deck showcases very much. My favorite part is how right to the point they are. That being said I would still watch a longer video, I just really like how fast you get right into the gameplay. Thanks AnnihilatorMTG!
With my schedule the way it is, I do the 3 match plucked from a league(s) format out of necessity more than anything else. If I had the time to add more matches or make more videos I would do it in a heart beat.
I had most of this deck already, your vid inspired me to finish it off in paper last week, super excited but I have not had a chance to play it yet and had a couple of questions. Would 2 Solitude and 2 Liliana (I already own) be upgrades for this deck (if so, what comes out)? or are they not being used for a reason I may not be seeing. Also, no graveyard hate on the sideboard, I am guessing we beat up on living end and Rinos already? Lastly, your thoughts on the Black Channel Land, in place of one of the boseiju. Really appreciate your content by the way!
I like the green in this deck; Grisly Salvage is always a blast to cast, and Boseiju is definitely crazy. Good job piloting as always-another great installment in the AnnihilatorMTG canon! Hope you’re doing alright and keep up the good work.
It really feels quite excellent. Reminds me of Peer Through Depths in a way. Grist and Boseiju are all stars as well. Your support means the world so thanks for commenting!
A win with thoughtsieze self, a win vs spike and a win vs burn.. nice. So ya grist never got tested really wouldn't mind a run back with some tweaks or new cards
Yeah I definitely think this configuration with a little tuning could be really good. 100% willing to give it another go after a few more vids in the rotation.
Honestly, at this point, I enjoy your content and original modern decks so much that I’d be fine with less editing and longer videos. This channel deserves way more visibility compared to all these 1 hour+ videos that are filled with stream chat. Edit: not only are you creative with these decks, you pilot well. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen the goldfish crew mess up on a new brew.
I appreciate the love for sure. On the topic of the video format. I think it would be honestly difficult for me to de-couple my current style and approach to commentary at this point. It just works for me, and the fact that I've seen so many people thank me for saving/respecting their time really solidifies the format to me. I'm always looking for ways to save time during the production process so I can eventually put out more than a single video a week, with that said I think that concept is still REALLY far off. Finally, on other pilots messing up or not being perfect. I'm FAR from perfect, in fact I make a ton of mistakes. The entire basis of this video series is curated to some degree. I want to entertain, highlight the strength of certain decks, and have a good time. If I were to make 2 hour+ videos weekly, the amount of mistakes would skyrocket. That I can assure you. What I will say is this. Knowing that I have your support, along with everyone else's keeps me going. I truly do appreciate the chance that I've been given, and hope to live up to your expectations.
Wow. this was a really good video. subscribed Also, would lili of the veil be good, letting you dump cards from your hand and attacking your opponents hand?
Is the inclusion of a single life from the loam something to consider here? I think it would make sense considering repeating boseiju is nuts, plus dredging plays into the long game reanimation strategy, helps you hit land drops, and is tutorable with Unmarked Grave. I'll definitely be brewing up an abzan list to try out myself.
I watch spike sometimes, he's not overly entertaining imo, but he does brew some sweet lists. Personally, this is one of my fave mtg channels, literally 2nd fave, only behind magic aids, dude is hilarious, but still, that puts you, at least in my eyes, above spike, above pleasant kenobi, above the lame channelfireball folks, above the mtg goldfish crowd, above tons and tons of mtg content creators. The reason is simple, great decks, fast pace and great commentary, you fit a shit load into 12-15 minute vids and that I thank you for that, my work schedule is just half a notch below slavery so free time is not an abundant resource for me, gotta get it in when I can. And usually I check for new vids from you before magic aids, he does a lot of standard stuff that im like blah blah omfg just do modern vids bro, standard is literally a steaming pile of smashed assholes.... Plus you make well calculated plays that I tend to commit to memory so when the situation arises there isnt as much of a long, uncomfortable pause while looking at my hand and the board state, im like and please feel free to suck on (insert awesome line of play here)
It means a lot to be one of your favs. One of the things that I wanted to do very early on with my channel was to make content that respects the viewers' time. Not that other content creators don't or anything. This is just a different format, and it makes me extremely happy to see that not only does it serve a purpose for people, but those same people seem to love it. Thank you very much for the comment!
Esper is probably better. The incidental life gain and flexibility is really quite something. With that said, in certain metas Abzan or even Mardu has a ton of potential.
I do wonder about Grist in this deck. For the most part it will just mill a single card? Plus it never seemed relevant in the matchups here. Though admittedly you never drew it.
You sound too clean like ur mannerisms are continuous. I get watching ur own play back is less exciting than playing it but you need variance in your emotional tone. Either way u are getting a sub b/c the editing, deck design, game play and commentary are good.
you're a gem for the community
High praise. Means a lot, thank you so much!

I like how you narrate your content. I listen while I’m at work.
That’s goal! I wanted to create a video style that was easy for people to watch with their presumably busy schedule. Thanks for appreciating it.
Love videos like this, best MTG UA-cam channel in my opinion
The best MtG Channel by far. Always a pleasure to watch.
Never in a million years did I think I’d be reading comments like these if you asked me even a few months back. Thank you so much.
Also that pun totally caught me off guard haha
I do my best! Lol
You truly deserve so much more attention, awesome content 🤙
Thank you kindly. The community appreciating my content makes me truly happy.

Fun deck and I love that you ran into ApsiringSpike as well. He is another UA-camr I really enjoy. Good game to watch!
Dudes a champ for sure. Playing against him is always a treat.
takes out spike. very cool.
Dudes a champ though. Really respect his play.
You, Aspiringspike and Magic Aids are the best modern content creator, really hope your channel can blow up because your content is very good
Cheers, I hope so too. Never woulda thought I’d get even this far though, so thanks for the support!
Great stuff like always!
Cheers friend. Always glad to see ya!

That’s a solid piece of tech. Seems like a really good idea. I’ll try my best to remember it if I run this list again.
Wondering if you would want to play some games! I'm aware this isn't a valakut deck but would love some pointers

Idk if they're really your style but I'd love to see you take a crack at UW affinity(Urza version) or Crabvine
I’ve enjoyed Urza in Vintage cube, so perhaps playing it in Modern would be fun.
Dang awesome video again man! Do you like this version better than the esper version of reanimator?
Esper is probably better. The incidental life gain and flexibility is really quite something. With that said, in certain metas Abzan or even Mardu has a ton of potential.
