- Let's head down to Greensboro Executive, formerly know as Southeast Greensboro, (3A4) for our annual inspection. Really like Jeff and Ed at Aircraft Maintenance Inc.
👍✅ Hope annual doesn't take forever Pete.
awesome as always
Strange lookin G36 Pete!
Hope the annual goes well.
Good catch, I’ll edit that.
Nice one!
Hello. My favorite hobby these days is using MS Flight Simulator with my controls console and flying the Baron G58. Your well-made videos on this plane are fun to watch, great for learning, and understanding more about real-world aviation. Thanks so much for continuing to point out the routine flying tasks such as when you rotate, use of the cowl flaps, AC off on takeoffs, radio communications, etc. I’ve never noticed you using wing flaps on takeoff. Is this normal and under what conditions would you?
Thanks,
Kent in Ohio
I don’t use flaps in the Baron for take off. No benefit that I know of and no performance numbers for that in the AFM. You’d get off the ground quicker but then struggle to accelerate for the second segment.
Ailerons out of rig? Trim issue? On an otherwise gorgeous Baron. Maybe the best all-around airplane ever built.
Nope, she flies straight as an arrow.
@@ProPilotPete Check the yoke position in cruise. That's rigging. Most mechanics can't or won't take the time. I had the luxury of highly paid mechanics who didn't care about the clock.
Hope all required parts are available!!
This Baron does have a nice usable payload. If doing a long flight with full fuel what would you feel comfortable with in regards with adult passengers?
Would you take 4 adults including yourself with full fuel & luggage.
Would you feel comfortable with 6 passengers including yourself in the baron twin?
I can’t fill up the main tanks with myself and 3 adults. If I had 4 adults I’d probably only be able to take 140 gallons or so.
What type of mission was this baron twin aquired for?
Typical trip is a 1 hour trip. No need for a lot of fuel.
