- I thought it would be fun to buy bulk foreign coins and look through them... and it was! I purchased 10 pounds of foreign coins for $55 which includes shipping. I didn't do this to try and find rare/old/expensive coins or in any way make money. I enjoyed sorting these coins and seeing all the interesting and different designs from around the world. I hope you enjoy the videos!

Regardless keep EVERY Canadian Cent you get, Canada discontinued/demonetized their Cents in 2012.

I have a world coins book it's the 2015 edition. I got it for only 25 cents at a library. But, that book is very helpful.

+Crew Miller No silver. I'm fairly confident even higher denomination coins like dollar coins or half dollars were taken out. If there had been any silver they would have grabbed these when looking through them.
@@CoinMetallurgist I like it when a seller sells you coins that they don't really understand how much value of coins are in there and ends up being gold and silver coins and you paid the same amount as of they all were non silver and gold coins. Have you had something similar happen to you when buying coins?

You can use the coinscope appication to find the countries of the coins you dont need the book
The coinscope app must be significantly improved since i tried it out. However I am much better at identifying coin random world coins now - I don't need a book anymore - just my eyes - Way better than the coinscope app.
I've never had good luck using Coinscope but a recently I've been using Numista, it's a pretty good website for finding information about your coins and you can also track your collection on there kinda similarly to Apmex's portfolio system.

No those ones came from Steinmetz Coins & Currency. Their website is www.steinmetzcoins.com/
When I bought from them their price was $5/lb as well with $5 shipping but now it is up to $6/lb. I would say their mix was better and cleaner though. Also I just noticed they have a mix that is all pre 1959 coins for $9.50/lb- I might have to try that next time.

@@CoinMetallurgist The 1 and 2 euro cents are no longer in circulation in some countries in Europe. So these coins are becoming scarce to find, especially the Dutch's cents
