No lie, Eric Nam is a very interesting person. He could literally speak about trash cans for 5 hours and I would be completely invested in the conversation the entire time.
When he said “not that money makes you absolutely happier but it does play a factor” I literally couldn’t agree more. Rich people are always the ones saying money can’t buy you happiness but yes in a way it can. Like what Eric meant, it doesn’t literally buy you happiness but you can use money to buy things or do things that make you happy. So cut the “money can’t buy you happiness” bullshit because it’s untrue and I’m sick of hearing it
I don't usually see the rich people saying ''money can't buy you happiness''. If there's anything they would say money is almost everything lol. It's more like the ''average-low'' income people, from where I live, who say that money can't buy happiness.
rich people are not the ones saying money cant buy happiness its mostly the poorer or middle class who say it because they cant get their hands on money so its an excuse ur pretty much just lying to urself monney plays a huge factor in happiness but isn't everything of course
Couldn't disagree more. People need to be reminded that pursuing money in life is simply ridiculous and shallow. By doing so, you pass by many great opportunities to realise your true potential and achieve amazing accomplishements. Money doesn't make you invincible. Get off your throne and realise that if you chase after money, you'll lose grasp of what's really important. WAKE UP PEOPLE AND FORGET THIS SO-CALLED "AMERICAN DREAM" THAT COULDN'T BE MORE WRONGLY REPRESENTED.
Horizo I don’t see a problem in pursuing wealth, maybe it’s just a difference in opinion. The way I see it, you’re absolutely right In that we should enjoy the life we have as we don’t get any second chances. But different people can have their own perception of what enjoyment is, if they enjoy making money then so be it. The phrase money can’t buy happiness is bullshit because everyone has their own view of what true happiness is. If you give a poor person money I doubt he’d decline the offer saying money can’t buy happiness. Money is an essential, and I believe happiness can be obtained through money as long as you spend it in accordance to what u believe gives you joy.
Guillermo Bogan he recently released a new album called honestly and an even newer song (that i think he promotes here) that is called congratulations!!
@Mayi Solar Canudas I haven't listened to his songs yet but I just watched his skincare vid and he is, indeed, a living meme. I'm gonna go to bed now and listen to some of his songs tomorrow
Eric Nam is really the epitome of an ideal guy, like I know everyone has their flaws but he just doesn't have one like absolutely zero. Talent? Check. Visual? Check. Humbleness? Check. Intelligence? Check. Wisdom? Check.
K C he’s actually really mature. He just allows his playful side to show more. But if you listen to him talk on actual serious interviews you’ll be blown away. I used to think that too. 😊
The clip of Papa Nam dancing what appears drunkenly as Eric describes what a great financial advisor he is : absolutely priceless. He seems really smart with his money and has a good team around him. All I hope is he blows a good chunk on a month long holiday after the BWB tour is over!
He struggled for a long time so I can see why. Most people don’t realize it but he was hustling and doing things that weren’t really getting him very far as a singer it’s only now that he’s really blown up. He used to be known more for being that guy who interviews western celebrities than a singer.
Idk what his management is but often korean entertainment companies have contracts that build up an account of debt (singing lessons/housing/etc) for their artists until they pay it off with new songs/commercials/any money making opportunity (obviously once it’s paid off the artist gets to keep the portion that they are owed)
Lone Note also that can be like hundreds of thousands based on how long they were trainees for, the quality of the services they received, and other aspects (and even when they debut, they can even rack up more debt if the song they made bombs aka negative revenue & often they get charged the production costs)
Just so everybody know, Imported car (ex Benz )sold in Asia is much more expensive then in the state due to Duty. Usually 2X or more...more expensive, more duty..
say it depends on the origin country of the car and I don’t know an exact amount but if we think about the impact that a foreign cheap vehicle in Korea could make (to Hyundai) it’s kinda logical that it is in fact expensive to import a car
MLIZ AO Actually.. a lot of people do have luxury cars in Korea. Especially BMW and Mercedes, a-lot of people overspend on cars there compared to America and Canada, even if they can’t really afford it. It is quite a huge issue there unfourtanately...
0:21 What's the worst investment you have ever made? Eric: talks about struggling career but achieved success Me: *visible confusion* how is that his worst investment???? that's a very good investment
I think he was talking about the changes in his lifestyle which he spent money for things that make him happy. It is somewhat investment if we look on the sentimental aspect of it.
It amazes me how you started off your career and how you became famous slowly but surely over time. You're so down to earth and that makes you so special. No wonder you're my ult
a lot of respect for him, he has so much talent and still struggled to make it big for himself, he’s held on and now he makes amazing music for himself and is able to call himself an artist. big love eric!
I've been following him since his start in Korea. He is incredibly driven and the fact that he's currently not under any label and making music on his own is testament to that. He deserves to make it big.
It's really true when he said “not that money makes you absolutely happier but it does play a factor”. Reality is, money isn't everything but, everything does need money.
stan Eric Nam for being financially wise; stan Eric Nam for his admirable mindset; stan Eric Nam for his enthusiastic personality; stan Eric Nam for being a gentleman; and most especially, stan Eric Nam for being a versatile musician and for his great songs. seriously, what's not to love about this man? 💛💛💛
Gl with your college decisions but remember it doesn’t matter where you go cus in the end you’ll still be doing online classes 😂 im a current boston college student on “break”
Random Chinese Guy all idols basically start their careers owing money to the company their signed with because the company pays for everything so unless they make it in the industry they stay in debt forever and never make money
If your final is in the morning you can still see him. I had a precalc exam in university the day I went to his concert and I did decently and got to enjoy Eric live. Completely worth it. The man is so charismatic and charming on stage.
As far as owning real estate in Korea, it's nearly impossible to get mortgage loans. So, the general public has to pay the entire price of the property up front, hence not a lot of home owners in Korea. Also, imported goods such as Mercedes oftentimes cost up to 2x's the cost in the US. Also, to make matters more interesting, even home-grown companies (Hyundai/Kia/Samsung) costs MORE in Korea compared to the US.
Omg he said that it is when in 2017 that he started to make money. But in 2016 when he was filming with Solar he always seem so generous, what the heck. Don’t tell me that you starve yourself back then, Eric!
Eric: * Tell how his dad manages his money in investment smartly *
Mens Health: Okay let's insert this dancing papa nam video as background
lol i was about to say
of all the pictures and videos they could've used of his dad
i was eating ice when i read your comment, and yeah thank you for making me nearly die because of getting choked by ice

true
K C Nothing immature about Eric Nam..... SUPER GREAT GUY, totally has it all together. Very impressive individual if you get to know him.
agree!
The clip of Papa Nam dancing what appears drunkenly as Eric describes what a great financial advisor he is : absolutely priceless. He seems really smart with his money and has a good team around him. All I hope is he blows a good chunk on a month long holiday after the BWB tour is over!
How did he start making money just in 2017 he has been in the industry longer than most idols & deserves more RECOGNITION!
I really thought I heard that wrong 💔
He struggled for a long time so I can see why. Yeah. They really prioritize their vehicles.
And not a lot of people have luxury cars In Korea
is it expensive to import a car there tho?

Anime Lover i wonder what does he really mean there
I think he was talking about the changes in his lifestyle which he spent money for things that make him happy. It is somewhat investment if we look on the sentimental aspect of it.
I think it was a way of avoiding the question, as he might not actually want to answer it. But I dont know
still can’t believe he’s in his 30s
wtf, if someone told me he was 19, i would believe them lmao
His skincare routine is really good
