    Hi from Greece ! I just started to learn Korean and watched by chance your video and of course I subscribed to your channel right away! It’s been 2 y now when I first watched Korean series and fell in love with the language and culture !!! What a lovely language! I love your pronunciation! Listening to you I can understand more the sounds of each letter and the sound of the words ! My dream is to learn Korean and some day (when I can afford it) to travel and stay for a couple of months ! I’ll keep watching your videos and I will try later to become a member of your site ! I promise 🙏
    I am Greek so English is my first foreign language and Korean will be the second 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 ! Hugs from Greece 🥰🥰

    Quick question, do you say 잘 지내 to someone who is leaving since it means "take care", or do you just say it to someone as in "how are you?"

    • @koreantoday63
      @koreantoday63 3 роки тому +1

      can be used in both cases. the literal meaning of 잘 지내 is "stay well" so, for "take care" it can be translated as "I hope you stay well" and for "How are you?" it can translated as "Are you staying well?" in literal sense

    • @GouriSundaresh
      @GouriSundaresh 4 місяці тому

      Hi! What you said is right👍 for example, imagine we two are talking in a room. After the conversation ends, you are leaving and I will stay in the room itself. In such a situation is when we should use 안녕히 계세요 / 잘 있서

    I was wondering, how do you speak to someone of the same age? Do you speak casually or politely? (I assume casually, but I want to make sure). Thank you for your lessons! I’m going to use them to work hard and learn Korean! 💜

    • @ConversationalKorean
      @ConversationalKorean  4 роки тому +2

      Oh, if you meet someone for the first time, you use polite form even no matter the age. And if you and the other guy who is the same age have agreed to use casual form to each other, then you can start to use casual form. Among kids in elementary school or younger, just casual form is used no matter the age.
