    Great shape and a fun turn. Two questions. Was the blank a green blank all the way to putting finish on it? Would the oil help from keeping the wood from checking if it is still green when finished? Looked like there was some slight water in the flute of the gouge thats the reason I ask. Cheers

    What wood species? And what was the size of the blank?

      It was made out of Sycamore and it was a 4"x 12" x 12" blank.

    I wonder how many of us watching could afford to buy that chuck, let alone the lathe.
    Kind of hard to get inspired by your videos when everything you show costs more than my car!
