Hi. Is this possible to make the sewage tretment flow vertically upwards ...i mean can we use the method to implement in channel where sewage mixes with lakes.
Then what would the solution for places like india where domestic and industrial effluents mixes in water bodies thru channels ....i thought we can filter them by diverting the flow passing upwards thru the reeds bed at a stretch will help though

Valli Saran if that is the case then you have to build wetland treatment floating islands with roots tapping into sewerage water. Look up how John Todd treated polluted river in China. And yes I’m that case you can pump water vertically into more wetlands before it returns into the river. I would love to be part of such a project on a design level
I really like this kind of info and studies! The only BIG problem with this practices is finding a place where you can practice them. I would love to have an eco house like the one he teaches to make, but where on earth does the government allows you to do this?! Why is it not allowed?
