I think they are wonderful and glamorous, hopefully the gravitas of the Duke of Edinburgh title will cause the media to treat them wiith more consideration. They are always included in photos of "Senior Working Royals" now also. Contrary to Charlotte, Sophie is a beautiful woman and I love her fashion.

Sophie is always well dressed, always appropriate for the occasion, and never looks as though she's more concerned with showing off flashy, expensive designer clothing than with spending time and engaging with whoever she is meeting - she's know what is important. She doesn't need expensive dresses to impress anyone, she doesn't need expensive outfits to show off to the rest of the world that she is Royal and wealthy. She has a natural warmth and charm. Happy in her own skin. She's an absolute gem. Unlike that markle disaster.

I disagree with Charlotte. She is making it seem as though Harry saved the day by “escalating” the information. Tell the truth, he did nothing to help. He has a huge platform and there was many things he could have done. He ignored it just as the others in charge did nothing to stop the atrocities being committed by the armed militia. It’s absolutely horrific what these people are going through.

International press coverage is probably the only effective way to stop the rape, torture, and intimidation of Baka tribe members by African Parks guards. No one blames Harry and Meghan for being unaware of the abuse. But, once they were both notified, it was Harry's responsibility as the president of the organization to suspend the guards, contact the authorities and ensure that the charity fully cooperated with the investigation. He did none of those things, which most likely emboldened the guards once it became clear that they would face no negative consequences. Instead, Harry accepted a promotion to the board that allegedly included a raise in pay.
Harry's failures to act in no way mitigate Meghan's abnegation of her own responsibility. No matter how contentiously her relationship with UN Women ended, the UN would have certainly opened an investigation if shown the testimony and photographs the Sussexes were sent. She could have even used her puff piece press contacts to give them something substantial to write about. There was nothing stopping either or both of them from grabbing a Netflix crew and flying out there to document what happened and help the victims.
Ironically, the selfless acts this crisis required may have been the only way for the Sussexes to redeem themselves. They may have even incidentally salvaged their reputations.

Have you factored inti your thoughts that the RF don't have salaried jobs but they do get their housing (maintenance bills paid for them), necessary paid staff, all bills paid, all food , etc. And a clothing allowance. And so on..... Meg was heard to say at one visit (native market somewhere?). "I can't believe I'm not being paid for this" . She could have had the life that all the senior royals have, without having any money worries, but she greedily wanted to actually be paid for her appearances. Deluded. Greedy. Arrogant. Narcissistic, snarky little girl.

    • @colleenwhalen-pg7un

Oh get over it! Princess Catherine has always been so completely down to earth, informal and demonstrates true humility. I seriously DOUBT she is upset anyone calls her Kate Middleton or any informal reference to her. Charlotte "Pro Sussex"? That is ludicrous. NOBODY on Palace Confidential is "Pro Sussex" and 99% of UK media utterly loathes the Sussexes and does nothing to hide that fact. I love it when Richard Kay is a guest presenter and rips into Harry and Meghan with his droll and ironic commentary on the two spoiled brats H&M who made a horses ass out of themselves.
BTW calling Princess Kate or Catherine - "Kate Middleton" simply demonstrates SHE HAD A LIFE AND HER OWN IDENTITY BEFORE she met William. Why should a woman lose all her origins, her family maiden name and any trace of her own INDEPENDENT LIFE before they met their husband? Princess Catherine is not an appendage of her husband - she is her own unique person in her own right. William and Catherine make an excellent team and have truly created a loving, emotionally nurturing home life for their three adorable children. I think Catherine's very ordinary background from the solid middle class and then later on self made millionaire parents who were HAPPILY MARRIED and raised three great kids - created a very calming sense of NORMALCY for William. The childhood of Harry and William was disastrous with much strife between their parents - and the horrendous death of Diana was so heartbreaking. William has phenomenal emotional resiliency and managed to rise up out of severe family tragedies to create a very stable loving marriage and wonderful co-parenting from both William and Kate who are a ROCK SOLID TEAM - the FUTURE of the monarchy is solid!

I advocate for a FLEXIBLE MONARCHY, one that can expand and contract as needed. You would have a core of working people, but then a smaller group of family members who can step in part-time. They are paid for engagements they carry out. This also can serve as a sort of "internship" to see how people do in these roles. This would be the "Contingency Plan" similar to what a company would have. Having a few people out sick or travelling should not be a national emergency!
I would hope they let Lady Louise handle a few lower-level engagements first and see how it goes. I do know there is preparation and training needed, as there is more to this role than we realize, but it could be done.

Harry was President of "African Parks" before being made a Director. These abuses have been going on for a long time, so I'm thinking whilst he was President!! Harry didn't "escalate" he "passed the buck". How is it he can get a private jet to fly nearly 3000 miles for a film premiere in a movie theatre, but cannot get on a plane to fly to Africa to find out for himself what is happening and offer support for the people and his charity, especially as it has been reported he knew about these abuses since May 2023? Charlotte seems very supportive of Harry and wife.

Heck, just click on the audio mute button and turn of the sound when she is talking. Does everyone have to AGREE WITH YOU on everything in order to keep their job and not get fired?
The foundation of a democracy is FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Even if you disagree with other peoples opinions - they have the right to speak their opinion - just as long as it is not Hate Speech or inciting cruel violence, or harming other people - let them say what they want to say and then just GET OVER IT. The UK is among one of the worlds oldest democracies. Democracy in the UK dates back to 7th - 8th - 9th century with the clan chieftans who were democratically elected by tribes. A bad chief was kicked out by the tribe. Even as a monarchy with hereditary titles and massive elitist class conscious structure, the UK is a VERY STRONG democracy and the values of freedom of speech are inheirent in every aspect of British, Scottish, Welsh and Irish paradigms of how a nation should be run. Research The Soap Box at Hyde Park - I had the great joy to watch freedom of speech in action at Hyde Park in London. Anybody can stand on the elevated platform and say their truth as they see it. It is a thrilling and vibrant example of freedom of speech in the heart of Central London.
