My Gigging Snare: The Ludwig Galaxy

During the Q&A portion of a recent livestream, Cody sang the praises of his gigging snare, the Ludwig Galaxy, and its fraternal twin, the Ludwig Acrolite. Beyond superficial cosmetic differences in the appearance of the shell, they are much the same drum, and the Galaxy is often an affordable diamond-in-the-rough on the used vintage snare market.

It should be noted that Cody uses a specialty head with a coarser coating than normal for additional brush sensitivity --the Aquarian Jack DeJohnette Signature.

I just took mine apart, cleaned it and reassembled it with a new P86 throw off.
