It's funny, after years of hating on the Blue Snowball, I think it sounds damn good in default settings with correct technique (just don't knock your desk or blow into it with plosives). The other thing I found only while editing this is that the Noise Gate (called "Gate") in Logitech G Hub/Blue VO!CE is super aggressive in its default "35" setting, if you use that effect in G Hub, I'd tone it down to half that or less - unless you're in a room with other people talking. What did you think?

I watched this after buying the Yeti Orb and found the advice as to how to configure it to be quite useful. Thanks for the video!

Glad it helped. Blue Voice in G Hub is pretty powerful software. I'd still suggest a boom arm, even a cheap one to get that mic closer to your mouth. Then it sounds pretty good.

If I understand correct: we can't connect snowball to logitech g hub, righ?

That's correct. It won't recognize that as a G Hub microphone. You need a Yeti mic or one of the newer Logitech branded mics.

What would you suggest is the best you can get for $150 or less, to use at a podium in a large chapel space that has overhead speakers for amplification?

I'd honestly use a commercial wireless headset microphone for that. Else, you'd use a dynamic xlr mic with short range pickup, like a Shure SM57 with a stand for the podium. But the headset mic lets the pastor walk around more easily without worrying about it. And the good ones have different color options to blend with skintones, think Sanken COS 11D mic with Shure wireless system.

I'm sorry, I don't know for sure. Sony sometimes restricts standard peripherals, even though they would work in Windows, macOS, Linux and Android with in-box drivers.

I would highly recommend getting a pop filter if you're still using the Blue Snowball

Agreed. And good microphone technique and distance is critical with this one.
