You are hovering from to high, it will cause you get in to a vortex and drop to the ground. The right way to do it is to flight right ind wile you reduce the hight and speed , when you are near the ground pull the stick back and then forward to hover on the ground effect.
I'm going to guess you're not a helicopter pilot in sim. It's ok it'll come to you. I can say that this IS a great introduction to helicopters. Most can chuck the thing around like a toy. If you come from real flight then get the Bell 47 it's rewarding and you'll enjoy your time lording over 95% of sim pilots for a few weeks until they learn the sim and tell us all how to fly again. On a side note, sound needs some work. But do get adept at this heli thing, it's fun and an extra skill set can't hurt. Quick tip, decent and reduce speed to the point of landing. VRS is a killer. 😎
I personally left the sensitivity in the default setting, I usually do that for all aircraft I fly because I don't really feel the need to change it most of the time and I'm not very good at knowing how I need to change the sensitivity to get a certain result.
One thing: You got the helo to hover and then just said, 'from here you land the helicopter'. How? How do we do a vertical descent? Is it just a case of reducing the thrust? And why is the right rudder used to slow down? Can I use the left rudder instead?
So the first step to land a helicopter is to get it to hover somewhere above your desired landing spot, once you've done that it is indeed pretty much just a matter of reducing the thrust so the heli descends towards the ground while of course keeping the helic above the landing spot using the flight controls. As for the rudder, you don't use it to slow down but to keep the heli in the direction you want it to be in. The rudder is used during landing and hovering because changes in the thrust will result in a yawing movement and with the rudder you counteract this yawing movement. I hope this makes it a little bit more understandable but do let me now if something is still unclear ;-)
@@JoeyPilotYT Thank you - that’s a bit clearer. The problem is, as always, the user manual the developers released with the (admittedly free) helo is brief to the point of being opaque. For anyone unfamiliar with how helicopters work it’s been quite a voyage of discovery (and embarrassing moments).
@@JoeyPilotYT no, fly to the target. try to stick to about 300mps (optional) on approach Hover is done feet above the ground close to target. Settle, then land. I'm not a sim pilot, so take that as... optional advice.
Normally the sim isn't that loud and I have my mic volume cranked up all the way but this helicopter is just way louder than any other aircrfat I use in the sim
You are as good a helicopter pilot as you are at making useful UA-cam vids. This is not only inaccurate but not even entertaining. Do all of us a favour and stop now. This is truely awful.
Can you do an ILS approach with this helicopter?

Sorry but sound is so bad I lost interest. Should re-post with better sound.
Do you adjust the sensitivity on the stick?

The audio didn’t get better. That’s a shame.

Your sound level is to low. and the mix of voiceover is bad to high Real sound and to low Speak level.

Where’s your content at bud. Ha, yeah, I don’t see any!
Totally out of place... If you don't like it... move on!
