@robertgittings8662 First, I want to clarify that I am an American and love my country. That said, I am appalled by our leadership's behavior towards any non-Western nation that "dares" to raise up and make huge strides in building their economy, industry and technology. This is first most a matter of arrogant pride in always wanting to be first in everything. That is called "American Exceptionalism". Second, it is a matter of protectionism of American tech companies that are lobbing extensively to create an anti-competitive environment to keep their huge market share and increase profits. Maybe there are concerns about cyber-security in there somewhere, but you can be sure that since the US is actively doing it to everyone, that it assumes that it can be done to us. Regardless, China will continue to move forward and there is nothing that the US and the Collective West can do to stop them. That is why I think it is a very bad idea to alienate the Chinese and we can only hope that they'll forgive us and have mercy once they are the Number One world Superpower.

I am from South East Asia. Currently living in an apartment (short-term) where having fibre broadband is not possible. Say what you want about Huawei and spying, I am just glad there is an option for me to apply 5G. The speed of 5G is almost as good if not better than my fibre broadband over at my permanent address.
That’s only if the country telcos are using Huawei tech, if the local telcos are using non-Huawei, you would get something like 4.5G, which is what the 5 Eyes countries are having now and they call it 5G. America is in a panic over losing it's position atop the high tech tree. America has already deindustrialized and when it loses the high tech market to China what will America do then.

Trying to demonstrate that you're riding the horse on moral high ground will only hurt you. Your moralities are different. Why do you think you ought to compel them towards your moral standard?
Okay I have so many thoughts about it! 1. I’m not so much a pro-tech world and self driving cars, exactly for the reasons you mentioned in the video. People will become a super easy target and easier to get rid of. 2. The fact that same argument “China can spy on U.S. though its tech” I have heard it so many times. People don’t realize how much American government spies on their citizens. All your profiles in FB, Insta, UA-cam. You sign that your info. can be shared and used for whatever reason. 3. I think that American companies are afraid to loose to China. Because honestly their innovation it’s just out of sci-fi films. Sky-trains, safe subways, and all the robots. I haven’t seen any other country to exceed this much in such field. 4. To be honest if America and China would stop fighting and accept it each. I think life would get easier for many people.

I’m in the UK, when we go to the coastal area and countryside there is literally in internet, even though it say 4/3G. Wish we had the Huawei infrastructure here
That 3/4G signal you got is most probably Huawei base stations, these are the gear that #10 wants ripped out. The only reason why many rural areas in the West were finally getting connectivity is due to Huawei and ZTE which are now mandated to be ripped out and replace with Ericsson, Nokia or Samsung stations which were the main reason in the past why rural areas had so much difficulty getting connectivity, due to cost and commercial viability which the pricing of Huawei and ZTE allowed the rural providers to make it economically viable to provide these services to a sparsely populated area with a small user base. As I understand it, for 5G, the main advantage of Huawei is really upgradability where you just plug in a 5G module into Huawei’s 4G stations so you don’t have to buy brand new everything while the competitors require brand new everything. The security narrative just got the biggest WTF a few weeks ago where Huawei was blamed by China hawks as the reason why HAMAS succeeded in the attack on Israel, they were using Huawei equipment so Mossad failed to intercept the intelligence, oh the irony of that statement. The IP theft narrative breaks down on 5G as Huawei holds the most number of patents on it, iirc 40% of all 5G patents are owned by Huawei, so I guess Huawei stole from themselves. This silliness doesn’t help anyone and is slowly creating a divergence in tech standards. It will only end up with North America, Australia and most of EU+UK with 1 standard and Asia, Africa, and Central + South America with another standard. End result is a lot of head banging against the wall for engineers globally and end user PITA when going to different parts of the world.
very nice video and very objective. loved it. Well I think the one who might lose, is US if they decoupled from China. China might be hurt if they decoupled from US, but as we can see, China might struggle without the US, but China will replace US market or even Euro Market by new south Asian market, South America Market and African and MIddle east market. At some point US with all of its action about security, which for me, is basically an excuse to fight against China to keep their hegemony. But if we look carefully, China have already started to decouple with US in many domains (Aeronautic, Cars, Food, Semi, High tech...). It's just a matter of few years before China will be self sufficient in almost all high tech in almost every domains. all other which is energy and food (because population is huge) they have already secure it with south America, Africa, Middle EAst, and South Asian countries (they starting to cancel order from US, Europe, Australia..) and China have already switch their economy to high tech instead of low end market. they have already start sending manufacturing of low cost asset to countries such as Cambodia, VietNam. on the other hand, all European and American companies that have decoupled with China are struggling a lot. Company such as Dell, Qualcom, Boeing, Micron... are loosing so much money. US politician forgot to always mention that they can take all technology locally into the US, biggest market is China. so even if they build factory there, it's a question of to who are they going to sell it? For the moment, no one can replace China market. Maybe India in a near future? But african countries seems to be the land of Russia and China now. and Middle east, seeing what's happening in Palestine, show why US is not very welcomed. Decoupling will be a huge mistake from US, but I think this is going to happen. China has already started as they don't want to be like Russia seeing their asset being taken.
Bullshit. Without the US, China's economy will go into the crapper. China's domestic market is insufficient to support their industry. They are going down and soon the people will want a new government.
Yes Musk can criticise the US government and still be able to do business in the US. That’s the advantage of a democratic setup. But if he criticises the Chinese government, he will be kicked out. No questions asked. That’s what happens in a dictatorial regime.
When people talk about how the Chinese government funds the EV or tech industries, they solely refer to the public dollars that go to Chinese companies while keeping silent about the subsidy for Tesla. Indeed, the Shanghai government subsidizes Tesla with $85 million and low-priced lands. The beneficial policy was so progressive that many Chinese domestic manufacturers were jealous. Of course, the Shanghai grant is not without conditions- Tesla needs to satisfy its commitment to production capacity and employment to local government. Remember, the construction of Tesla's Giga Shanghai started in January 2019 and began to operate only one year later, which secured 500,000 EV production in 2020. It is a win-win solution: Tesla guaranteed its ambitious production capacity while Shanghai prompted the upgrading of EVs. More companies and technologies would have enjoyed these opportunities without the trader war.

To say they should stop fighting is a little misleading. Where's the logic of telling China to stop responding whenever they are being attacked??? The correct thing to say is the US should stop attacking. NOT China should stop responding to attacks. This fact was well presented by one of the African heads of states recently. When a German high level politician visited his country, the African president (prime minister?) LITERALLY blasted the German guy and yelled at him, and said why is it that whenever the West comes to talk to him, instead of talking business, they come to stop him from doing business with China?? But then, when the Chinese come to talk to him, it's always purely about doing business.
The USA is one market, China can just keep working on its domestic market and larger global south markets, as well as Russia and developing Asia and Euro/Asian markets. The key is keep developing newer and better technology and infrastructure.

Reality is businesses are so intertwined between China and the US. Tariff is a form of ammunition used in trade war. If people think tech companies are the only companies that stand to lose on both sides like Apple and Hauwei, there are lots of other large US business that operates in China. For example, Walmart, Costco, McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Starbucks...so on. Made in china stuff range from low end to high end, and they are not just in dollar stores. Chinese technology has forced down the price of a lot of expensive stuff. Huawei was outright competing with Apple in 2019, hence the sanctions later, and Apple get to be ever more expensive with little improvements or innovations. Chinese EVs are selling overseas fast, and they will be able to bring down the prices of cars made in other countries, good thing for the customers, competitions are heathy for the markets.

Are you still talking about China Huawei’s 5G? China already has fishery aircraft carriers. And nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, nuclear-powered container freighters have also begun construction. China ignores the US blockade and crackdown and strives to develop itself.
It seems that China and Huawei will start 6G testing next year. China will not wait for the world, let alone the United States. China will develop according to its own model and its own plan. It is not that China wants to surpass the United States, but that the United States and Western countries do not want to make progress and develop too slowly.
Chinese tech will likely have great price/performance compared to western technology and even compared to other Asian countries. And then yes, China's tech could be overtaking the world. I think it's good with tech progress but there also needs to be competition, so for example it would be good if Japan or maybe even some western country keeps up with the progress. The U.S. tech industry is declining I suspect because of lack of manufacturing capacity.
@@pisablavatsky-cb3dd Which I suspect is the only true "national security" issue the US has with Huawei.

Your US master doesn't allow n your puppet leaders have to obey

Both countries will definitely use country X data to snoop in, so be like that Icelander guy ! Don't give a sh*t ....😅
There is no escalation if US is the only one throwing punches. US should stop and think.
Thanks for making this video. Im glad you are bring more and more constructive/unbiased view onto issues like these.
Tesla made in China broke down, what a crazy coincidence who would have thought
Lols clearly you don’t own Tesla. The made in China Tesla have best qualities and new improved models come from Tesla China engineers
People in the West now choose China-made Teslas than US-made or Germany-made Teslas because of better quality 😂😂😂😂

Thank you for the video: I was uncertain whether to change from Samsung to Xiaomi, now I'm sure.
Nothing
😂😂😂
I am in xiaomi for years now. I am completely safe. No CIA spying on me
@@pisablavatsky-cb3dd Which I suspect is the only true "national security" issue the US has with Huawei. The US seems to find it much easier to spy on tech supplied by the US and US allies than on tech supplied by China, so every country that uses China's 5G is a country where the US has a much harder time spying on.
It’s insanely fast
I visited the hospitality center of a major beer company in St Louis, Mo. I liked the low alcohol beer and noticed most people drinking the high alcohol beer. I asked the bartender about it. He said, "If you don't know by now kid, you never will". If that dairy farmer doesn't know the difference between US spying and Chinese spying, he never will.
I agree. That farmer is going to wish it was American spying in 5-10 years. Those 5G signals will give his livestocks cancer and destroy his crops. You really can't trust Chinese tech.
Whats the difference? 😂
I don't know.@@fate7186
US is a behind the scene bully and China is just a bully that everyone can see.
@@fate7186 The difference is in the eyes, one is slanted and squinty and the other is wide open and filled with envy.
Yes, who spied Angela Merkel and Macron? Even Obama had to apologise to Merkel ....
Need to understand and learn a bit more about China apart from relying from what you hear from western media and possibly your own.
US started the trade war and refused to back down. China for the longest time been very patient but theres only so much you can take from a bully. Only way to deal with a bully is to stand up and fight back.
Security risk cus it’s faster and more advanced oh the lols murica is so nowhere

"CHIN SPY" says American 💀💀💀
Jealousy n ignorance r just some of the reasons why India has fallen so far behind China in almost every sphere of development so enjoy your jealousy
Awesome overview of Chinese tech companie's development and rise 👏👏
I donot wanna be spied by American companies and government, that is why I chose Chinese brands!
Finally🥰, Chinese government big w everybody else big L
Everything is national concern. Should China kick BOEING, Starbucks, KFC, McDonald, BK, PIZZA HUT, COSTCO, APPLE, GE, CHEVY, Tesla, Ford, all of these are National Security. Now, can the U.S. afford that, too?
Yes. China should ban them Boeing supplies military equipment to the US, so China should sanction Boeing. All these American fast food companies are suspected of distributing diseases among the population, and should be banned. Apple phones constantly spy on its users, a totally security risk. All American car companies can spy on its occupants, so another clear case of security risk.
@@JD-yz4kr Actually, Boeing was in the brink of being banned. Not because of the US and China trade war, but because of the quality control issues Boeing is suffering. That will happen if you let freaking accountants to lead an engineering company. Boeing should be led by engineers trying to improve and innovate products not accountants who only wants to save money, ethically or not.
There is no easy solution on this. I hope they will shake hand and play nice with each other.
You can never do that with ccp. They are an active bully. only neighbours will know.
We shall see
😂😂😂 You don't know envy.
It's going to take a decades-long period of intense competition to do that, and that's what the Chinese have agreed on since the 2017 trade war.
damn, sounds like we're behind
Great china in the world
Everythings U S started first when all of the Africa countries use Huawei,Asia some of the European countries and most of the Middle East too at that time the U S is done period
The US does not like competition.
American hypocrisy
I just go by this how many innovations are coming out of China n what rate vs the USA . The other is how many people are graduating in those fields. Plus is all about data. N no one beats China in that.
Spying is just American right.
Love aliexpress. I do all my shopping there, clothing, tech, phones. Aliexpress have great redmi deals. Heck even my steam iron is xiaomi. If I have a house in future, I want to invest in a full xiaomi smart house system.
That's why you don't want self driving cars. It may turn out somebody else is driving you to your bitter end....
Why can’t US and China just work together?
Easy question, competition
because white
Coz US rrgime wants to maintain its hegemony over the world. It doesn't want to share power with other countries
Because USA is loosing the economically
Competition, both countries only care for themselves
Ban apple in China!
Now I know why there's virtually no difference between my new 5G phone and my old 4G one!
At least it shows that Iceland is not a colony of the United States.
至少说明冰岛不是美国的殖民地。
No it's not. China's domestic tech is still years behind the West. All of the advanced chips in China's tech were made overseas and their domestic chips are still inferior.
Try a Mate60, mate
China is way ahead
western chip integration performance is inferior due to disparate global supply chain🤣🤣🤣
The new Kirin 9000 is a 7nm purely chinese made semiconductor that is only 4 years behind most latest US chips. The most important part is that its a 5g chip which can allow Chinese to develop more 5g networks. China is also working on a syncnrotron that can develop even smaller chips which is much better than the EUV machines the west uses that involves using a thousand pieces of technology patents owned by differnent countries around the world.
@@lolcatjuniornow they have a new chip design tool EDA. Because of this, huawei’s chip is more powerful than a regular 7nm chip. Not many people mentioned this.
