Thank you! I'm just learning how to wrap cords properly as I'm just starting out my backpacking adventures.
I've watched a few different ones on how tobwrap cordage and this is the easiest and most efficient one ice found and think this will be my go to. I especially like how you can pull a small section off a larger on, cut it, tie it and not disturb the rest of the bundle. Thanks again

Thank-you. I have tons of Paracord bundles in my various packs and always struggled trying to keep them neat without tying them up too much (so they then become hard to use). This method is perfect

Prefect timing! I was just about to store away some excess cord, and this is the perfect system imo. Easy deployment is key! Keep up the good work.

    I love it.
so much faster than the other methods.
I took it a step further when I found the ust 550 tinder paracord.
It has an 8th strand which is fire tinder.
when I do my outside wrap I wrap it around my fire flint as well.
It doesn't pull out from the center but it still deploys very quickly.
Now I have my paracord and/or a fire available in about 10 seconds.
    Thanks for sharing this.
This is now my preferred method.

Great way to wrap your cord. I usually only use a few loops around the bunch to avoid a twisted cord when deploying but your method of wrapping the whole cord would for sure be less prone to snag. Thanks for sharing ;)-

My favourite way of storing paracord is what is called a "Paracord Donut". It is super easy, depending on how much you have you wrap some of it around you're fingers and do a daisy chain all the way around. It is a lot more compact than the fast rope way and deploys just as easily.

I have 2 of these (smaller ones of about 20 - 50 ft) clipped to each shoulder of my hunting backpack. It also allows me to have a carabiner available to hoist game with a trucker's hitch too. The paracord slides over the carabiner better than cord over cord.

I do it the same way but for cord too long to do on my hand I use my feet instead of sticks, its just as easy, good in the mountains where there may not be any sticks and I get a little sit down after packing up while I do it

I use my hand for smaller lengths. For the longer ones, I drilled 4 or 5 holes in a 2x4 with a forstner bit and put 12" long pvc pipe sticking up like you used the sticks. I can choose the hole depending on how much length of rope I have. I also use carabiners in the tag end with the loop attached to my pack. If i need rope quickly, I just grab the hank of rope and pull. The tag end stays on the carabiner and I am able to pull the rope out quickly for whatever I need.

this is very helpful. i often times find myself wanting for a longer stretch than what fits my wrist.for that reason, i have never taken a bracelet apart. this would be great with the cord that contains 8 lb test fishing line as an 8th strand.
not to get totally off subject, but who made your glommits? i've been searching for a fingerless pair that also has the ability to fold back the thumb... 100% wool, as yours appear to be. my search has been more difficult than i thought it would be. i had given up for the winter until i watched your video just now.
    thanks!

Hi, and greet's from Ireland. Firstly, and I delive this to be the most perplexing, but why do you refer to your viewers as "Turttles"? I have watched several of your videos and like the content, although I would NOT like to be the cameraman! Especillly in this episode!:-P I purchased a roll of "Mil-Serp" olive green paracord and have cut 1 length of 50Ft for a ridge line and 4 X 25Ft for the corners, I have them bundled with the tail/working end wrapped arround the middle and the last wrap arround the end tucked in. Your system is FAR more effective. (Not to mention easier to deploy and neater!) So I would like to thankyou for this tutorial and with your permission will use it on me own paracord. Have a good one! :-) Kev B
