I'm really impressed with this set -- at first glance it looked like the perfect Lego ambulance. It's so wonderful that we don't have to buy a big hospital set to get it!!
I see it's called a "rotary phone" -- yes I've completely forgotten about those. They were a bit difficult to use compared to the push-button ones. No wonder some people used a pen or pencil to turn the dial.
Perhaps they think that it would be impossible to guarantee undamaged windows due to the manufacturing process where all the window parts are jumbled together in a heap in a container. If someone wants the windows to look perfect, they might have to use a polishing tool to get it that way.
