I absolutely loved this track. Brings back a lot of memories. I adore this woman. Painted a lot of pictures of her as she has very artistic and colourful looks.
damn. i remember 10th grade and we still thought madonna was black! i was so used to seeing the video version, years ago, id forgotten how badass this song was! a nice little dance song!
I have always loved Madonna, but this is when I really liked her and I feel she peaked when she put out Erotica. Erotica was one sexy album, along with the song Justify My Love. Madonna is always one of my favorites.
There appears to be three versions of Burning Up, This 12" remix was the first one. An "alternate" album version was used on Madonna's first album. All later pressings would instead use the version from the video,
This is my favourite song from Madonna! Thus it has substance, meaning; awesome beat, and melody! This song is full of sexual, aggressive passion, volcanic lust, magnetic seduction, and sensual ardour. It is like liquid fire running through your veins! Bravo, Madonna, and Jelly Beans Benitez for his magnificent assistance. Madonna was certainly on fire with Burning Up!
better then the album track I think!? More clubby, was also one of the first tracks that was played by the dj in Danceteria along with Everybody back in 82!
It IS better than the album version as it is the 12" club version. Madonna released her first few hits as singles before coming out with album above. It was four songs originally, Lucky Star, Everybody, Burning Up, and Physical Attraction. All of these the album version is significantly different from the 12". Burning Up was the most radically changed and this version was rarely played on the radio.
Don't put me off 'cause I'm on fire And I can't quench my desire Don't you know that I'm burning up for your love You're not convinced that that is enough I put myself in this position And I deserve the imposition But you don't even know I'm alive And this pounding in my heart just won't die I'm burning up
No. The album version is different, it is (sadly) tamer. This is the 12" single version that was played in clubs long before it even went to the album. Madonna released four 12" singles before she released her first album. The songs are Everybody, Lucky Star, Physical Attraction and Burning Up. Actually it was three singles as Physical Attraction and Burning Up were back to back on the same record. I believe Lucky Star and Borderline were back to back too, but not in the initial release.
I do know this was a single I saw the video on vintage TV.and a behind the scenes interview with the video director for video killed the radio star on sky arts.
I hate it when albums are "revised" with different versions of songs on the album (Hello Michael Jackson! How many versions of BAD is there?!? I bought it the week it came out so have the original. He did the same with Off the Wall and Thriller) but this song is the exception! The single version with the awesome guitar break is just so much better than this version! I have the Jp 2nd press, but have also just bought the 1st press. Too hard to get a US 1st press! Every version I see has the 3:41 version.
…… they are both in top tier realms as musicians, entertainers and icons. Madonna is amazing and paved the way for many other artists but Beyoncé has at least matched and id say gone above Madonna. Madonna's music is classic and she is powerful but Beyoncé is, at least in terms of presence, way more powerful. Her choreography is some of the best in music history and her demeanour through everything, I believe, surpasses Madonna and I think Madonna herself would agree and be proud of her. Not cutting down Madonna or her achievements but even as much as I respect her I still know Beyoncé's presence is probably the most powerful of women in music history. Im excited to see who goes above her
They are both pop but Beyonce is more into RMB waters and nothing else while Madonna is all over different genres and by that Beyonce can just suck it. Over all they are different breed and honestly as much as I am not a fan of neither I find Madonna more interesting solely due to her flexibility in genres, I give her that credit. And for both that had bad things they both been pushing agendas instead of just stfu and sing a proper song, but Beyonce she been more active into idiotic things pushing it down her audience that have nothing to do with music at all. Madonna even sings a song I am not a christian and I am not a jew, I am just an american living the american dream, fake or real it's real to me, I live it. She even used it as a quote. Meaning she is done with media, political, satanistic, etc agendas and related BS and just making music and enjoy life while she have one. Simple as that. While Beyonce still didnt grow the f-k up that is for sure she still does what ever other tell her to do from the shadows. She is all full on black power feminazie etc b-ch you're a satanistic puppet, a media joke at best that happen to know how to sing.
Alright ,I'm not doing this anymore.. Keep ur comments 2 ur self whom ever.. Not my problem any more, and really Fuck it keep what u made off of me. I don't want no DM. CASH OUT . AS ALWAYS SCORPIO MOON

The best song she ever did. Everyone loved it in the clubs in early 83.
I absolutely loved this track. Brings back a lot of memories. I adore this woman. Painted a lot of pictures of her as she has very artistic and colourful looks.

And its music video conquered many boys heart & girls attention to M's sexy fresh style

One of the best artists, ever
I have always loved Madonna, but this is when I really liked her and I feel she peaked when she put out Erotica. Erotica was one sexy album, along with the song Justify My Love. Madonna is always one of my favorites.

Mary Hernandez Great time and song
Her producers were on their a game!! Easily one of the best synth pop tracks ever made. That bass and those stabs are killer!
It's timeless. Still sounds good in 2022
🙌
Too awesome, Fucking boggles the mind man.
When going to the gym was fun.
Still fun, this makes me a treadmill superstar! 😛
Yep im on FIRE

2019
Don't put me off 'cause I'm on fire
And I can't quench my desire

You're not convinced that that is enough
I put myself in this position
And I deserve the imposition
But you don't even know I'm alive
And this pounding in my heart just won't die
I'm burning up
Bray was her best producer

nope
other songs like Gambler
this is the first tape I ever owned, is this the same version as the original tape version?

Diaval... This came off the Remastered Album in 2001
Well for sure it's a rock song........dj mega mix
The guitar driven video version is far superior!
where to buy vinyl ?
Madame ❌is number one album with no air play Ciccone has earned top spot 2019
it might not be, this isn't the original version
I do know this was a single I saw the video on vintage TV.and a behind the scenes interview with the video director for video killed the radio star on sky arts.
Does "Physical" by Dua Lipa sound like an influence ?
The audio track has been muted, thats fucked!

COLEY FOLEY SAYS: NO COMMENT.....
3:10
I'm pretty sure the theme song to the Transformers was inspired by this mix.
I'd say "You Got The Touch" is more reminiscent of Van Halen's "Jump" than anything else...
This sounds like the version from the reinvention tour with the music besides no guitar
o sol.
Initial riff sounds like fool for your loving whitesnake
I wish someone who could actually sing would make a cover of this song.
Beyonce has decades to go even to approach her preeminence.

Levi Wallace you are on some good drugs!!
Dumb ass what does Beyonce have anything to do with Madonna they weren’t even in the same generation😹

@@levimora3025 Uh, no. Beyonce doesn't come close to Whitney Houston, Chaka Kahn, or Aretha Franklin.
Seems the 80ties were a different dimension ? 😄
Not the same without those sexy guitars!
Was I the only one burning this tape up? Lol huh
ciao
Alright ,I'm not doing this anymore..
