I never really liked how they turned Garth into a werewolf but I guess it’s better than them killing him off
Dean saying goodbye to Garth was so sad! These two had such a great but underrated friendship

And _YET_ when _Cas_ worked with Crowley it was "unforgivable" and "a betrayal" & Dean flat out threatened to kill him over it 🙄🙄🙄
It’s not like deans happy about it plus Crowley was more evil then, he didn’t have the human blood thing going on. What Cas did was a betrayal

It was either accept Crowley's offer, or be destroyed while Raphael restarted the apocalypse (and I doubt Lucifer would be fooled by a _~ family love~_ montage again)
Crowley was objectively the most ruthless/cruel in s8, not s5-7
But beyond that, how did Cas betray the Winchesters?
He's not beholden to them. He doesn't have to ask their permission. Quite frankly, Cas hadnt spoken to Sam or Dean for a year by the time they call him up in 6x03. He was well into the Civil War by then
Truth is, Dean worked with Crowley _first_ (in s5)
And if Cas hadnt done what he did, the apocalypse _would_ have happened
Up until now, humans have only killed *one* angel (Dean catching Zachariah by surprise in s5) + the Civil war seemed to be mostly taking place in Heaven or celestial dimensions
Sam & Dean had no say (or anything to offer tbh) in that

The older guy was also in the Scarecrow episode back in season 1. In these later seasons there are several repeat actors there are even some who are on the show more than 2 times.

So, Sam says he doesn't trust Dean and basically disowns him and now they're back together strictly as co-workers? How does this make sense? From Dean's side, ok, it makes sense because he wants Sam's forgiveness and he wants to work with him again, even if it's not as brothers. He's taking what he can get. But from Sam's side, it doesn't make sense. He should want to not be around Dean right now. He should want his space and his time to heal mentally and emotionally. Now, maybe it's because I'm in the minority when it comes to actually liking when Sam and Dean are separated, but this is one of many times where Sam and Dean should've continued to go on their separate ways. This split should've been extended.
No your completely right this makes no sense. Working as co-workers doesn't work if theirs this tension between them, its just not healthy. Take for example season 5 that was a separation that was needed, the brothers needed to cool off on their own and they reunited when they were ready to make up and work through their issues and get back on track. But it doesn't work here, Sam has no intention of forgiving Dean so for the next few episodes their both just bitter and distant to each other and that's no fun to watch. It's just like at the start of season 8 no matters whose side your were on all the fans were getting tired of the fighting and how it made each brother look. Again It doesn't make sense for Sam to want to work with Dean when being around him just makes him act bitter and while his feelings are understandable it just doesn't make sense.
Tbh, in season 5, I don't even think Dean was ready to forgive Sam either. It wasn't until what he saw in the future with Sam saying yes to Lucifer that forced Dean into pushing what he felt aside and link back up with Sam and make amends. It seems like they tried to do that same thing here, but there's nothing major that happened during this split, except Dean getting the MOC but that wasn't affecting him yet. There was no reason for these two to be together again. It just seemed like the writers were unable to do more than 1 or 2 episodes of the brothers being separated even if it makes sense for it to be that way. Just bad, nonsensical writing. And yeah, the next few episodes are annoying. And I'm sorry to say, but that's mostly because of Sam. Like you said, Sam's feelings about what Dean did and about Dean are understandable, but at the same time, he made the decision to go back to working with Dean knowing that he still hasn't gotten over what happened.
Because Sam love nothing more than gaslight Dean, manipulate him, use him, take advantage of him and just use him as his personal punishing bag.
He also can’t survive without Dean for long so there’s that.
I’m with, I also thought they should have gone their separate ways much longer like for the whole season
@@nejoudtourki6000 Well, this hot take about Sam is definitely going to ruffle a few feathers lol, but I do think you have a point. Sam wanting to work with Dean again just to get back at him for what he did sounds about right. Like, Sam is angry and he's hurting, and despite Dean feeling guilty, showing remorse, and owning up to what he's done, I can see that not being good enough for Sam. He wants Dean to hurt just as much as, if not more than, he's hurting. And judging by what happens in the next few episodes, that could definitely be Sam's reason for coming back.
I wouldn't say Sam can't survive long without Dean. I do think more things tend to happen to Sam when he's solo, but they both have shown that they hold up pretty well without the other one. It's clear that they prefer to be together tho.
@@TBFC1985 you need to rewatch and really focus, you will notice Sam is definitely dead without Dean maybe not 100% but at least 85% of the time dead without Dean and I mean there’s a a certain fight with certain ex possessed human that fights Sam while Dean is fighting 3 demons and said human almost kills Sam and that literally happens way down the line of the show like S13 or S14 or something, Sam should have been able to handle him on his own, but the guy was literally shouting for Dean for help while Dean was fighting 3 demons on his own…

if i was sam in this situation i would’ve just left to do my own thing until life sets us up together again. dean and sam are so obsessed with each other it’s toxic. instead of giving each other some space they think that “working together” will be fine, because “yeah no we’re not trusting each other and whatever, but we’re gonna still go on a life-death missions”. make it make sense pls. sam is a smart guy, but sometimes he really seems like the stupid one. writers didn’t do him justice in the next seasons WHATSOEVER and i’ll forever be mad about it.
Yeah it makes zero sense. For Sam to let Dean work with him without forgiving him or plaining to, Sam is basically agreeing to be bitter and resentful 24/7. The flip side is Dean will be miserable 24/7. That is literally the definition of a toxic relationship! And the outcome is predictable with Dean striking on his own because of Sam treatment towards him. Now yes you could argue Sam is justified in his feelings but Sam was the one that invited Dean back, Dean was fine with them being apart till they were ready to make amends, which was the smart healthy thing to do. So yeah of course Dean would snap back while being treated that way and Sam is somehow surprised by this?
Part of why I hate this season is when the brothers reunite, their just so distant and awful to each tother it becomes a bore to watch. And there's another reason SPOILERS below
Sam has no arc this season and barley does anything. Some people argue his arc was getting rid of Gadreel but that was more of just an episode and after that Sam is just mad and bitter towards Dean and shows no signs of even wanting to consider forgiving him till the last moment of the season. Now yes Sam's feelings are understandable and Dean did cross a line, but Dean also did more memorable stuff this season, he fought off a bunch of angels, He magically started acting like a dog, he got to relive the place where he was free from the life and a teen and he was the one most affected by Garth since they had the better relationship. Plus the whole MOC arc had a great progression and great and grey moments. Heck Cas and Crowley have more of an overarching arc this season than Sam.
I also agree that the writers did Sam dirty in the later seasons in regards to arcs. Now whenever I bring it up people say that Sam was the main lead in the first half and Dean was the side character, but that is a load of BS. With the exception of the first season Dean had his own arcs and centric episodes in each season and his arcs were fleshed out and vital to the seasons overarching story just as much as Sam. But in the latter Seasons Sam's arc feel way to short and not fleshed out enough at least thats how I personally saw it

i remember there being a sam arc where he takes leadership of a group of hunters and it was awesome but as soon as dean was back, he fell back in line and it was basically fuck that character progression.
@@patrickmcguire7896I hate how they tried to sideline Sam, especially with how he was the main character for the first 5 seasons. At least make both of the brothers equally main characters, let them share the spotlight
Im glad Garth found a family & happiness & was able to settle down/leave the hunter life

@@Davidscomix nope, Sam is “smart” on paper and I do mean in character description of his character, in actual reality of the show Dean is shown MANY COUNTLESS times that he’s much SMARTER than Sam, because Dean is actually intellectually smart, and emotionally smart where Sam has proven he’s big dumb dumb who acts as if he’s smart

No, Dean was in the wrong and Sam had a right to be mad at him and I think they are just recognising that. Also, it was dumb of Dean to accept the mark of Cain without understanding the price or even thinking it over.
