If anyone is interested in more info on the HD-DVD format then check out Stop Skeletons from Fighting's video on it. Pretty interesting stuff! ua-cam.com/video/wpTLR0VWqO4/v-deo.html
Unfortunately you can't watch HD DVD with window 10. I've tried everything. Apparently it was able to be done with cyberlink powerdvd 7 ultra on an older operating systems. But you can still rip the discs. But it's kinda redundant to go through all that work to just watch a movie. If there is software that allows HD DVD playback on windows 10 please let me know, thanks everyone.
I've only come across a few that have worked myself. Even then they only lasted a couple months before they couldn't be read anymore. Hopefully yours continue working!
@@jacobacabido I'm using the HDMI output from the Xbox 360 Slim I have the HD-DVD drive hooked up to. The TV does upscale the 1080p image to 4K, so it looks a little soft compared to actual 4K content. Still 100% watchable in my opinion (assuming you're interested in older video formats).
@@HeeeeeyOcarina thanks. Yes i am i too have this hd dvd add on but my 360 is the first generation with only component video cables and my 4k tv only have hdmi
@@HeeeeeyOcarina its on the first dash to support halo 3 I made a video on it on my main channel called stubbertville, I also made a nxe video that's the top result on UA-cam!
I’m looking into getting a HD DVD Drive for my Xbox 360 Slim Console. I want to place the HD DVD Drive on the other side of my Entertainment Center. Would a USB Extension cable from my Xbox 360 into the USB Cable of the HD DVD Drive, allow it to work? I wonder if anyone has tried that.

I have a few HD DVD Warner Bros releases and they don’t have disc rot.

Did you play it on 4K TV or no ?
Originally the 360 I had it hooked up to was on a 1080p screen. I got a 4K TV a while back though, so that's the screen I use it with now.
@@HeeeeeyOcarina how does it look on a 4k tv ? And what input are you using ? Does it upscale

I bought one a couple days ago mainly because there soooo cheap, just watching some videos on it, planning to use it with my blades or nxe console!
Awesome! I love to see those classic blades still running on people's consoles.

No way you'll find one less than 20 dollars
