This video made me smile. Great work. And super stoked to your future longboard videos. I’ve been long boarding a lot the last few years and it’s changed my life!
Seeing Lizards, Chi's, Ethels, it all makes me homesick for Yorkes. Great place to live, great waves, great fishing, great times for those who venture there.
Since high school I've been surfing seasonally and almost never. In 2020 when everything locked down in Los Angeles (and still is) I really adopted surfing as my #1 hobby to get me through these horrible times. Your channel really helped me hone in on my skills and perfect my technique. Thank you Kale Brock and sick video right here!
Was out at the first break in the vid yesterday when a fin popped up about 1ft out of the water. Got us all into shore for the long walk back. Great videos, looking forward to seeing more!
You’re very blessed man, I enjoy sharing your joy of surfing. I’ve recently been loving long boarding, after doing short board for a long time, thanks for sharing brother. Best of luck for the channel my man, I love to support you’re channel in anyway.
Congrats to you and Emma on your off the grid journey moving forward. You’ve been a massive inspiration for me to take up surfing, even though I live in toronto, Canada and have to travel a bit to hit the Great Lakes. I will be heading down south to experience more different surfing experiences in the upcoming years. Look forward to future vids. Cheers guys.
Spotted a little lizard on a rock at the start of the vid. Nice. I love that feeling, I scored Richard' on my own for an hour last week while 2 dozen crew hassled for small waves at the main break. I remember one of your vids talking about, some of ones best surfing can happen away from the pack. Desert Dreaming, the search still continues.
HEY BRO, THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR VIDS, THEY'RE REALLY AWESOME, AND BEEN SO FAR AWAY FROM HOME, IT MAKES ME TRAVEL BACK TO OZ... YOU'RE A LEGEND MY BRO ALL THE BEST ON YOUR TRAVELS!
Amazing scenery and beautiful waves. Enjoy your off grid journey Kale. My hubby and I are planning on getting a camper trailer so that we can start doing some off grid camping trips too. I'm a big fan of your work, continue inspiring the world :)
You look super relaxed! really looking forward to seeing where your calling to live more off the grid will take you. Why is it that not many people surf the desert? Lots of variety and if your lucky the dolphins say hello
I loved SA. Went to Baird Bay just up the road from Port Lincoln back in 2000. Absolutely stunning with loads of dolphins and seals. Barely another human in the drink.
So good and exciting to see uncrowded waves in Oz. I'll be a qualified bricky in 6 months. I'm going to pack it all up in a van with my girl, like you have and hit the road from Melbourne. Lay a few bricks here and few bricks there, enough to keep the dream alive and just surf surf surf. Improve. Sleep coffee surf eat nap surf eat repeat. Ha! Thanks for the inspiration Kale. I love your style.
I love this, more than words can explain. Surfing is the gift that keeps on giving. Something about just being in the ocean and appreciating the beauty and the feel of it brings you back to this planet every time. It's incredibly grounding. I can't wait to go to spots like these when I'm older and I'm so lucky I get the chance to experience something like this. Meanwhile I'll be living vicariously through your amazing videos :)
You should come back to south australia around easter time every year. Ethel's gets bigger swells than you surfed and the mid even gets a bit of swell. But I'm sure you know that as you grew up here
Your videos are incredible!! Keep taking advantage of being in Australia 🇦🇺 right now. Lots of awesome and unknown surf 🏄♀️ spots and very little COVID!! Keep doing what you are doing!!
NIce words nice turns Kale great flick, i lived on the beaches for most of my life and escaped to the Sunny Coast when it got too crowded never looked back. waves are sick, easy to surf alone if you know where. dreaming of a trip to SA some time soon hope you got soooo barrelled :)
This video was a breath of fresh air 🥰 loved every minute of it, definitely gave my heart that feeling of adventure and just absolute beauty in nature, since we can’t really go anywhere these days!
@@KalesBroccoli thanks bud. Will let my two young kiwi grommets know in the morning . Will have to bring them over for a surf when we get through this mess called Covid . Keep up the good videos .
Hey man i live in South Aus and often go surfing at middleton which I’m sure you know is a very popular spot for us but the waves are often sloppy and a bit yuck, could you let me know of any spots that are a bit different like this one? If you wanna keep them a secret that’s ok too man!
I just started surfing the Great Lakes in cold Canada; love everything your up to!! Keep up the great work with the videos, I really appreciate them 🤙🏻
Hi love your tips and videos. So when you are bringing the camera out while surfing how do you find the balance between filming and focusing on surfing? For me it’s hard to multitask because I’m still fairly new to surfing.
Beautiful surf spot mate. I would feel a little sketchy in SA surfing alone but always a good feeling when the dolphins are around. Van is looking real good too🤙
Surfed Cactus nearly 50 years ago for 6 weeks, and the waves were bloody amazing. But so were the number of shark sightings. My brother actually had a large Great White swim straight through the line-up. He basically shit himself. Who wouldn't. But surprisingly I don't think there have been any fatal attacks there.
Wade Shippard attacked and killed at Pt Sinclare Feb 1975 (Just around the point from Cactus), Cameron Bayes Sept 2000 Cactus Beach fatality, the next day Jevan Wright fatality at Elliston, Terry Manual Jan 1974 fatality (down the coast from Cactus) and there is a list of non fatal attacks. Crickey I personally know 2 guys that have been grabbed by pointers in SA, but let off with a "warning" ... John Campion who had serious arm injuries but after many operations is pretty good and another young fella that was bitten while surfing KI a few months ago. Plenty off sharks on the West Coast. Not all of them eat you though ... ask "Spike" about the large pointer that swam straight at him and then turned away at the last second. Brown stain in his wetty. Although, there are plenty of surfers here on the West Coast at the moment to share the risk. It would appear that many people came here to get away from the crowds but they brought the crowd with them ...
Wow! You are living the dream. Looks stunning where you are right now. And hardly a soul in sight! Crazy.
This video made me smile. Great work. And super stoked to your future longboard videos. I’ve been long boarding a lot the last few years and it’s changed my life!
Kudos for surfing on the best boards in the world, Sunova.
I'm an old guy (mid seventies) now surfing on a Sunova Slider.
Seeing Lizards, Chi's, Ethels, it all makes me homesick for Yorkes. Great place to live, great waves, great fishing, great times for those who venture there.

Yea legend best idea ever !
This makes me want to get to Australia 10x more!
We’re lucky for sure !!
I went there in 2005, I loved it. I wasn't hooked on surfing then, so I didn't surf. The only difficulty for me was driving on the left!
ask the chinese for permission first

ACTUS IN F

Sorry for ya mate!! 🙌🏽
Hot spot sharing looks crowded these days jillipy!
Great vid!!
HI mate, what long board do you surf. My boys and I have been trying to work it out here in NZ. We love watching your video's.
Hey guys - it’s a SUNOVA ‘oldy’
@@KalesBroccoli thanks bud. Will let my two young kiwi grommets know in the morning . Will have to bring them over for a surf when we get through this mess called Covid . Keep up the good videos .
Big fan of yours, blessings from Morro Bay!
Thank you!!! :)
Nice vid. Where was the location?
Great video
Some of this filmed at York’s?
That looks great! Just curious, how shallow is that reef? I'm always afraid to crash into reef instead of a beach break.
Relatively shallow maybe 4 to 6 feet deep?
Wow, Blair Cottrell's got a new you tube channel!
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 epic, we have tons of dolphins here in Florida
Hey Kales! Love from NZ, wondering if you've ever done any surfing over here?
Not yet but absolutely psyching for a trip one day
I live + surf in regional Vic. Couldn't pay me to get into the water in SA. It's sooooo sharky. I guess this suits the locals perfectly too
😂 carn!!!
No more dangerous than the rest of southern Australia in terms of sharks, Western Australia is probably worse coz bull sharks galore and whites
@@samueljesse5020 for sure
KB what mount are you using for your go pro?
The GoPro one but I prefer the one from CamGo to be honest
Would love to live in a van also the water where you are is absolutely stunning, so clear and pretty. Hope its warm for you epic vid dude ✌🤘
Where is this
Not a bad place to be in lock down sheesh
That looks so much like my puppy dog Sophie!!
Do you ever get worried about sharks when going out on your own?
I talked about this in the video :)
I don't know if you guys have sea lions in that area, but I always thought those bamboo wrap boards look just like a sea lion, aka shark bait. 😐
Should do a vlog at tressies or rhinos when its on. The u tubers will go nuts
Tha dream!
Is it scary surfing on a reef? I've never experienced it just kelp fields lol
Nah!
What gpro do you use
Hero 9
Sup Bro thanks for replying

he's a shocker in the water ... not someone to look up to unfortunately
West is best.
Hi love your tips and videos. So when you are bringing the camera out while surfing how do you find the balance between filming and focusing on surfing? For me it’s hard to multitask because I’m still fairly new to surfing.
It’s annoying hence I only film about 5% of my surfs
Subd, all the best homie
I wish I could go surf but I’m still in lockdown
That sucks
Yew
Cool videos, but it would be nice to know where these nice spots actually are and not just "in the desert". Australia is mostly desert....
Why is my brother from another mother living in a sprinter van ?¿ ?
I am a poor youtuber with no money or belongings
Where about in South Oz?
middleton
Beautiful surf spot mate. I would feel a little sketchy in SA surfing alone but always a good feeling when the dolphins are around. Van is looking real good too🤙
🙌🏽🙌🏽
In south Africa our president banneded beaches i bought a board and i was ready to surf and then the beach was closed
☹️
Lots of attacks and fatalities there, way too sharky, give it a miss
"Sharks......they only bite if you touch their private parts"
Clickbaited hardcore
Click bate, never surfed alone

stop tagging locations

"escape the crowds" is just so bs ... stop with the whole uncrowded SA thing please
