2:18 yup, the Japan version has 30 size MGL and other version is BFS spool which can throw 2 gram jig comfortably. The 30 and 50 doesn't get much attention outside America compare to BFS Spool.
Just bought this reel and the Tatula Elite AGS 7’ for light Shaky Heads then I came here and see this vid can’t be happier on the selection. Hate to use the spinning reels btw
The Shimano Aldebaran is a phenomenal reel. You will be very impressed with its ability to cast light lures. You can also learn more about this reel by reading our customer reviews at the bottom of this page: bit.ly/AlderbaranMGL

I just got one. Love it. Question tho. What’s the two clear film stickers it comes with for??
jpvand1 for your reel feet - won’t scratch your rod - kinda silly - but now ya know 😉
can I put 20# fluorocarbon on it and use it for pitching?
Hi, with 5 to 10g lures should I be using the alderbearan bfs / 30mgl /or 50 ? Is the bfs just as strong with larger lures.
would it be a good reel to pair with a g loomis nrx 893c or 853c? for Senkos
